Very Cool,
however I still run into problems when I use it with bling. The shadow
drop shadow is filling the whole screen, and the task module icons are
drawing on top of each other without disappering. This might be a
problem with my bling version though. Apart from that I really like it.
However as a suggestion, I still think that the engages way of doing
things was great, i.e. be a launcher and combine it with a taskbar, by
showing small icons.

Cheers
Jochen

It's a very nice module (though raster's requirements for a task manager
was to have buttons, not icons ala ibar :) ). From the readme, it's said
that the shelf should be above everything when there's a composite
manager. So you might already know this, but having the shelf below
everything doesn't work, regardless of whether a manager is enabled or
not.

Btw, perhaps you can switch the logic so that the border context menu
appears on alt+click, and the shelf menu appears on click (imho will be
more consistent with the rest of e)

I still have a problem that I can replicate very well: sometimes when I
left-click on an icon in itask module the shelv menu open and the app
too, so this *feature* is only annoing me, not stopping using this module.

Looks good :) Actually I'd like to see the engage-like scaling in an app
*launcher* as well as a task manager, but anyway ... it's good.
I assume the goal is to drop the 116-pixel requirement for making it

I'll be good and not ask when bang is coming :)

But what is egloo? I googled for it and found absolutely nothing. Not

Thanks a lot, Nick.

The problem is in the module.desktop file you can find in
//e17/lib/enlightenment/modules//module.desktop

Attached is a small patch for bling module, the correction is nearly the
same for all modules.

It's my first patch, so I don't know if I used the correct command line
for diff, In case here you can find two other syntax of the same patch:

http://xenos.altervista.org/blogs/index.php?blog=3&title=bling_patch_cvs_diff&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
http://xenos.altervista.org/blogs/index.php?blog=3&title=bling_patch&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

sorry, second post is in italian.

Two weeks ago I send the same patch to bling module author by I get no
answer, so I post it here. Any comments would be appreciated.

They could be added to CVS - just hop onto IRC (irc.freenode.net

help and mentor, CodeWarrior #edevelop).

I have also worked on some python bindings using pyrex for Etk. You
can see what was done here:

http://svnweb.tuxfamily.org/listing.php?repname=conf%20(gete)&path=%2Flibs%2Fpyetk%2F&opt=dir&sc=1

This is not expected to work against the latest Etk as I did not get
the time to really continue working on it - you can continue that work
if you want to though.

hisham.

Sooner or later I'll have to host this somewhere, where do I apply to
get it at e cvs?

Already done:
 - ecore: main loop, timer, animator
 - evas: canvas basics, some barebones of objects, rectangle

I'll try to have ecore_evas basics so I can display something
graphical tomorrow, then I'll go back to evas and focus on it getting
full Evas_Object support and then start evas objects, possible until I

when you add a timer, animator etc. etc. - you get a handle returned to that

by THAT handle - as that handle is unique and uniquely identifies THAT timer

as for deletion - timers are explicitly deleted by ecore_timer_del OR if they

[E-devel] ecore_timer_del() callback?

2007-04-23 Thread Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri
I'm developing python bindings for Evas, Ecore, Edje and like... while
still at the beginning, some issues are already showing, the last is
ecore_timer_del() provides no callback so I can release the wrapper
data.

Something like Glib's g_timeout_add_full()[1] would be handy. Animator
also suffers from the same "problem".

I seem to have problems with autohide in current cvs. The shelf won't
unhide when its style is set to "invisible", no matter where I point
with the mouse. When setting the style to "default", I can only
hide/unhide it when hovering over the left or right shelf "handles".
Playing with the remaining settings (e.g. Stacking or Size) doesn't
change anything. Is that the expected behaviour for now? I also tried
with a fresh ~/.e configuration.

Thanks, Nick.

As I was saying on #E, now is not the time to nit-pick every little
grammar flub or typo. Now is the time to get content (verbiage,
images, etc.) in place. Once we know what we want to say, *then* we
can make sure we say it properly. Until then sweating the little
stuff is only going to waste time.

[E-devel] subsections in web/www/site

Hello,

the last CVS commit in web/www/site didn't fix the problem. Now it's
possible to see subdirs, but not subsubdirs. See:

About->Libraries > (Evas,Eet,Edje,... are missing here)

Log Message:
When a page has subsections, you can see the subsections links at the
top, but if you go inside the subsection, the links aren't there
anymore, and you have to use the browser's back button to find more
subsections. This patch adds the subsections links to the page when you
are inside one of the subsections. I added a .selected class in the
stylesheet to know which page you are on, now it puts and underline, so
whoever is working on the design can change it for something more
suitable

[E-devel] callback from evas_free()

2007-04-23 Thread Gustavo Sverzut Barbieri
Hello,

I'm writing python bindings and I noticed that there is now way to get
notified when evas_free() is issued, this is a problem since this
function can be called from my application, but from other libraries,
like ecore_evas.

I'd like to know if it's ok to provide a callback that would be called
before this function returns. If so, where to assign this callback? As
another function (evas_free_callback_set()?)

[E-devel] [PATCH] Commented out unused variable to alarm module

2007-04-23 Thread Massimiliano Calamelli
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi all, this small patch sets alarm module buildable under
FreeBSD: i've just commented two occurrence of timezone (extern long
timezone) that it seems to be unused. The FreeBSD implementation of
timezone (/usr/include/time.h) isn't the same of Linux.

I think to be able to release (in a few days) a patch for easy_e17 to
set usable on FreeBSD.

Please apply, if it's correct!
