Re: [E-devel] Exalt Plans? (was: E SVN: watchwolf IN trunk/PROTO/exalt/src: bin bin_command lib_dbus)
The version of exalt on the old svn (berlios) is unmaintained. The current version of exalt is in the e-svn (PROTO/exalt), this version doesn't works currently. This version will be use by the module connection manager Currently I rewrite the dbus API (asynchronous and introspective as ask by raster). The next way will be to improve/rewrite some parts in the daemon and the low lvl library (rewrite the scan method, improve the comportment of the daemon ...). Finally (in a few months I guess) I ll add some freatures in exalt (vpn, pppoe ...), I don't know what features, it will depend of the demand. Exalt is fully integrated in e (ecore_loop, list, fd handler ...) but has less possibilities than nm ( I don't know conman). If you wanna see how exalt works see exalt-command in PROTO/exalt/src/bin_command, I try to do something simple. 2008/10/12 Michael 'Mickey' Lauer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Hi Watchwolf, > > I'm currently evaluating Exalt, NetworkManager and Connman for using as the > networking backend of the freesmartphone.org framework implementation. > > Can you elaborate on the relationship of the code in your exalt repository > and > the code in e17/PROTO? [E-devel] FOSDEM 2009
Hi, FOSDEM 2009 will take place around the 21st february 2009, and it would be a good oppportunity for the EFL to be presented. Here is a possible sequence of things that can be done: * Presentation of the EFL using Eyelight (from watchwolf) * Eyelight itself (of course...) * Enlightenment 0.17 (what is done, what to be done) * The efl (which libe, designe, etc...) * Toolkits (etk ? ewl ? ) * Some tools: - eyesight - enna and rage * Show what can be done on embedded devices (linux + Windows CE) * Maybe showing, if possible, what raoul did for calaos (really impressive) Of course, that list can be improved or filled. If you have other ideas suggestions, remarks, etc..., please answer to that mail. If you also want to come to FOSDEM 2009, please let us know. Also maybe it would be good to: * add a temporary mailing list specifically for FOSDEM (maybe not a very good idea, though...) * create a chan on irc for fosdem, similar to what was done for SoC Finally, I recall some links: FOSDEM home page: http://www.fosdem.org/2009/ Form to fill: http://www.fosdem.org/2009/brainstorm Vincent - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ enlightenment-devel mailing list enlightenment-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-devel

If I had time i would update all the examples, like I did with http://docs.enlightenment.org/books/cookbook/eflcookbook.html#id2479482 It was pretty easy, so feel free to update anything or at least send the new code my way and I wil update the books for you. > You should find anything you need to begin on the Wiki. > You can also connect on #e (Irc Channel) on Freenode.net. > > Welcome to E! > > On Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 9:13 PM, Yassine Chouchane <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>wrote: > > Hello how to learn efl? > > please? > > i want to create programe with efl, but i don't know how start, please?? > > > > -- > > Cordialement > > Yassine Chouchane > > - > > This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's > > challenge > > Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great > > prizes > > Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the > > world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ > > ___ > > enlightenment-devel mailing list > > enlightenment-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-devel - This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ ___ enlightenment-devel mailing list enlightenment-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/enlightenment-devel

Hi Yassine ;) Look at the Enlightenment Wiki: http://wiki.enlightenment.org/index.php/Category:Enlightenment_Foundation_Libraries You should find anything you need to begin on the Wiki. You can also connect on #e (Irc Channel) on Freenode.net. Welcome to E! [E-devel] Exalt Plans? (was: E SVN: watchwolf IN trunk/PROTO/exalt/src: bin bin_command lib_dbus)
Hi Watchwolf, I'm currently evaluating Exalt, NetworkManager and Connman for using as the networking backend of the freesmartphone.org framework implementation. Can you elaborate on the relationship of the code in your exalt repository and the code in e17/PROTO? Which goals do you have for either one? Can you also comment on how the current state of exalt relates to connman's and networkmanager's feature set? I had a look at exalt and while the API is very un-dbus-like, the backend seems to be pretty solid. Re: [E-devel] .desktop files for E17 applications
Thanks, Ivan. I have uploaded e17-applnk.tar.gz to http://www.fileqube.com/shared/hJJIs131420 Direct download link: http://www.fileqube.com/hl/hJJIs131420/e17-applnk.tar.gz The archive contains xdg .desktop files for eight E17 applications, seven of which are new .desktop files. The eighth .desktop file is emphasis.desktop with GenericName added. All of the eight .desktop files contain GenericName translations. The pixmaps subdirectory contains icons collected from Enlightenment svn to be reused as application icons. Some of them are only provided as placeholders but some others look so good and suit the application they represent so well that they could as well be used as final, imho.
