elementary_test works for a lot of tests. Some images have a hard coded
path, so for the tests that use those images, it's not "working".

for the optional features:

  * efreet : efreet can be used to load some fdo icons (like the Tango
ones)
  * edbus/ethumb: i can't manage to make dbus working on Windows and the
dbus dev don't help me.
  * weather : never tried to compile libeweather on Windows
  * quick launch : i don't know if it's possible to have something
similar on Windows devices.

Why, btw ? :-)

aaah sure. thats an elm test issue. i added proper prefix support to eina and
elm now so i CAN make it relocatable properly. but elm itself works. cool.

VirtualBox can help you :-)

Once ecore_con is finished and eina is updated (with the last eina_lock
stuff), I plan to release another installer as I greatly improved the
rendering of the windows (the resize and move is sooo smooth compared to
what it is in this installer :-) )

Yes, I tested the polygon but it ended up doing closed areas between
points defined. What I wanted is just a kind of single line which
changes it's direction in certain x,y points.

Hmm, so instead of using evas I should just use cairo API and libs directly?

What about if I want to have enlightenment widget in the end as a
result. Should I then hide the cairo details under smart object API?

http://ists.pl/~alias/enlightenment/docs/cookbook/ch03s03.html

was the most uptodate example I found from smart object creation
altought it still used "evas_smart_new" which has now been replaced with
struct Evas_Smart_Class and evas_smart_class_new method.

have to actually install all the things needed to do development. that;'s a new

If you have a Windows box or Windows inside, the installation is easy and
not complicated at all:

http://trac.enlightenment.org/e/wiki/EFLWindowsXP#InstallationandconfigurationofMSYSMinGW

basically, you download the mingw installer, execute it, select some
options, et voila.

The next step is the configuration, which is not complicated too. All the
steps are described in the wiki above.

For a dayly build, I use a script which upgrade from svn, compile (debug
and realase mode), package it, and and NSIS script to create the
installer. It's as easy as the e17 script.

Vincent

Once ecore_con is finished and eina is updated (with the last eina_lock
stuff), I plan to release another installer as I greatly improved the
rendering of the windows (the resize and move is sooo smooth compared to
what it is in this installer :-) )

Yeah ! You rock master of all evilness ! :-)

what kind of enlightenment widget? elm? e17 itself? or just inside your app?

comp-scale does now show all windows including iconified with
scale-by-class and '*' as match. look at _scale_win_new to modify it
for making it an option for other scale modes

If you google my name + cairo you're likely to find some example I
wrote. Also, if you're really in the mood you can use webkit-efl code
as reference (we render webkit using cairo to an evas-image)

Hmm, then this needs to be fixed in elm also, because this is exactly

If it is Truly wrong, then I will revert it.

I think it would be cool to have generic "xy graph widget" like
filedialogs, clocks, etc. in elementary. I assume that once done in that
way, one could then re-use it on apps by creating edje file for example
with editje and then setup there some default values like:

- size and position
- title
- x-axis unit
- y-axis unit
- max and min x and y values
- some kind of grid_size_x and grid_size_y and values to indicate grid
size and sub-values shown in axises
- colors used for drawing axises (r,g,b,a)
- colors used for displaying caption texts (r,g,b,a)
- backround image/color
- array of values to show

Of course it should be possible to override these values set to edje
file later from the code.

So you still think, I should write the graph drawing code with cairo and
then try to find out example code from Barbieri howto render cairo graph
to image that could be used by this widget.

I just ignored that idea since 1) I don't want to be tied to cairo
(anti-grain or other techs would work the same way); 2) cairo does not
offer a "report what was draw so far".

Point #2 there is a real problem as if you update just a part of your
cairo surface (say 0,0 to 10,10), then you'll need to manually know it
to call evas with updated region. This makes it impossible to merge
nicely with evas that automatically renders on main loop, simply
because you'd not know what was updated.

I've asked cairo guys, nobody had any motivation to create such a thing. :-/

It doesn't break it as "will not work", but it wont work optimal. The

responsibility to add theme inherits, and not e17 responsibility to show

Sure? I did fix it there some time ago. Search for theme on initial icon
