Re: [E-devel] E segfaults when restarting/changing themes with ELM 1.13+

Half the time when it dies I do not even get a f1 to restart box, I have to drop to a TTY and do a *killall -9 enlightenment* to get the desktop to restart again. Do you have a backtrace ? It should be easy to trigger one by sending a -11 instead of a -9. Alternatively you could consider running enlightenment_start -valgrind to get more information. -- Cedric BAIL -- Dive into the World of Parallel Programming The Go Parallel Website, sponsored by Intel and developed in partnership with Slashdot Media, is your hub for all things parallel software development, from weekly thought leadership blogs to news, videos, case studies, tutorials and more. Ack! I shouldn't send emails before 10am. Phab ticket I am talking about is here - https://phab.enlightenment.org/T2129 I've been trying to get a backtrace in virtual box, but every time I start gdb on enlightenment from a tty Enlightenment is 100% hung when I switch back to X. Is there a way I can generate a backtrace from within Enlightenment without dropping to a tty? Was working off the directions here which say to use a tty - https://phab.enlightenment.org/w/debugging/ On Fri, Apr 3, 2015 at 10:06 AM, Cedric BAIL cedric.b...@free.fr wrote: Hello, On Fri, Apr 3, 2015 at 4:08 PM, Jeff Hoogland jeffhoogl...@linux.com wrote: Can I please get someone to look into this ticket? Re: [E-devel] E segfaults when restarting/changing themes with ELM 1.13+
As an FYI I am also getting a segfault on E17 when changing theme with these newer efl/elm as well. A couple of people confirmed on IRC that it doesn't happen with E in git. Anyone else out there using EFL/Elm 1.13+ with E19.4 - can you apply new E themes back and forth a few times without getting a segfault? It happens pretty consistently here - almost every time. It doesn't happen at all with EFL/Elm 1.12 On Fri, Apr 3, 2015 at 10:43 AM, Cedric BAIL cedric.b...@free.fr wrote: On Fri, Apr 3, 2015 at 5:11 PM, Jeff Hoogland jeffhoogl...@linux.com wrote: Ack!
