[e-users] e17 :: problems with -border-shade-speed-set

2005-05-17 Thread B S Srinidhi
Hi,

I compiled the latest e17 last night. It works great and as Raster had
mentioned, it cleared my old configuration and prompted me for
configuring everything again.

It's great... :)

I was overjoyed to see so many options in enlightenment_remote --help :)
But I had some trouble with -border-shade-speed-set option. :(

When I use -border-shade-speed-set, it changes framerate. I had some bad
time shading one of my windows... It scrolled up 3 pixels at a
time... ;) Here's a sample output:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -framerate-set 30
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -framerate-get
REPLY: BEGIN
REPLY: 30.000
REPLY: END
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -border-shade-speed-get
REPLY: BEGIN
REPLY: 3.000
REPLY: END
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -border-shade-speed-set 50
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -border-shade-speed-get
REPLY: BEGIN
REPLY: 3.000
REPLY: END
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -framerate-get
REPLY: BEGIN
REPLY: 50.000
REPLY: END
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -framerate-get
REPLY: BEGIN
REPLY: 50.000
REPLY: END
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ enlightenment_remote -border-shade-speed-get
REPLY: BEGIN
REPLY: 3.000
REPLY: END

Is this the intended behavior? If yes, then would someone please tell me
how can I increase the shading speed? It became too slow when I tried
setting -border-shade-transition-set to 0, 1 and 2 and then in the end
reverting back to 3, which was the default.

I also want to know what do you mean by 'edge flip'?

Srinidhi.

[e-users] engage-always on top

2005-05-17 Thread muhumuza brian
hi all, is there a way of having the engage module
always on top so that other windows never cover it?

"|" should be the separator. the same as you see when you get the current
key/button bindings. (same format)

yes you can have other modifiers... like the win-key mod3 mod4 and mod5 to
whatever they are mapped on your x-server. Though i'm mainly using
e16keyedit to archive my goals to setup keybindings on e16... so, sorry no
idea how exactly they are called. Hope it helps anyway

Greetings

Martin
