[e-users] Bug or locales misconfiguration ?

I have switched to E16.7, and I have a problem with accented letter in menus, as I a 
am using french locales. Actually, the text are cut each time an accented letter is 
met. See an example window on 
http://omemf.univ-montp2.fr/alf/scrinechottes/locales.png , you can see the window is 
entitled Param instead of Paramètres, and three choices are only d el and r 
(instead of ???). 

Is it a bug, or a problem of configuration of FreeType2 for the use of accented 
letters ?
