E20.6 is available for Ubuntu 15.10. Looks like the packager has not caught up with 16.04 and/or is preparing the recently released E21 for it. -- Attend Shape: An AT&T Tech Expo July 15-16. [e-users] E in Xubuntu 16.04
I've been using e17 under Xubuntu for several years, currently at 15.10, installed from the Xubuntu repos. I've got used to its quirks and the workarounds needed to overcome them. I'm starting to move my machines to 16.04 and I notice from enlightenment.org that "[t]he available packages in the official Ubuntu repositories are outdated" and recommending E20. I added the repos as described: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:niko2040/e19 but when I ran sudo apt-get update it ended with: > W: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/niko2040/e19/ubuntu xenial > Release' does not have a Release file. > N: Data from such a repository can't be authenticated and is therefore > potentially dangerous to use. > N: See apt-secure(8) manpage for repository creation and user configuration > details. > E: Failed to fetch > http://ppa.launchpad.net/niko2040/e19/ubuntu/dists/xenial/main/binary-i386/Packages > 404 Not Found > E: Some index files failed to download.
