Re: [e-users] E17 + Full Screen Flash + Secondary Screen

But I was wondering if anyone has found a method of running full-screen flash video on a secondary screen and mousing off of that monitor without losing the full screen on the video? Right now using E17.2.1 when I mouse off the secondary screen onto my other monitor the video stops playing as full screen. If this isn't possible currently is this something E17 could accomplish or is this just a limitation of the awful software that is flash? flash itself just closes its fullscreen window. there isn't much we can do about it. -- ~Jeff Hoogland http://jeffhoogland.com/ Thoughts on Technology http://jeffhoogland.blogspot.com/, Tech Blog Bodhi Linux http://bodhilinux.com/, Enlightenment for your Desktop -- Precog is a next-generation analytics platform capable of advanced analytics on semi-structured data. If this isn't possible currently is this something E17 could accomplish or is this just a limitation of the awful software that is flash? I don't think this is flash specific. I have similar symptoms with the icaclient browser plugin. If I mouse off from the desktop that it is running in and then come back onto it, the plugin window is no longer full screen, the shelf is now on top of it and the window decorations are visible and aligned with the top of the screen. The way I manage the situation is to press Alt+Left Click to drag the window up so as to hide the window bar beyond the end of the screen and then Alt+Right Click to select 'Always on Top'. This stops the shelf covering the full screen window. Flash of course has its own peculiarities and I haven't found a workaround to stop it from minimising to its original (non-full screen) size. -- Regards, Mick -- Precog is a next-generation analytics platform capable of advanced analytics on semi-structured data. It loses fullscreen when it loses focus. -- Precog is a next-generation analytics platform capable of advanced analytics on semi-structured data.
