Funny thing:

ppc64le gets:

Problem: conflicting requests
  - nothing provides python-rpm-macros > 3-30 needed by
python-devel-2.7.5-86.el7.ppc64le
  - nothing provides python2-rpm-macros > 3-30 needed by

x86_64 gets python-devel-2.7.5-80.el7.x86_64

It seems that the ppc64le build has the arched package from RHEL 7.7 but misses
the noarch packages from RHEL 7.7 and the x86_64 builder just has pacages from
RHEL 7.6 altogether.

[EPEL-devel] Re: Missing python-rpm-macros>3.30 on EPEL7 ppc64le

2019-08-10 Thread Robert-André Mauchin
The package are correctly retired, but the ones from RHEL are not available,
which breaks building for EPEL7:

https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org//work/tasks/9826/36909826/mock_output.log

Error: Package: epel-rpm-macros-7-20.noarch (build)
   Requires: python-srpm-macros
Error: Package: epel-rpm-macros-7-20.noarch (build)
   Requires: python2-rpm-macros
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Error: Package: epel-rpm-macros-7-20.noarch (build)
   Requires: python-rpm-macros

Does something need to be one Koji side?

I did that right after that e-mail:

If ti doesn't work, maybe some Koji admins need to do stuff?

Or it just takes a while?

It does it on all architectures. This looks like the RHEL 7.7 version of the
package. python(2)-rpm-macros 3-32 should be there as well.

Is it possible that you have caught the builders mid updating? Such as the
ppc64le packages were updated to 7.7 but the noarch packages were not yet?

I think that what is happening is that koji is ignoring the RHEL version.

The last python-rpm-macros built in koji for epel, is 3.25, and this one has
priority over 3.32 imported from RHEL 7.7 (locally built is more important than
external, no matter the version).

This package needs to be retired from EPEL so it can pick up the RHEL version,
which is also mandatory due to EPEL guidelines.

Will do. I was waiting for the release to happen.
