If you want to export the information you see in the Packet List pane, you
can use the print command, choosing Text as the format.

If you want to export a field that doesn't show in the Packet List pane, the
documentation makes reference to adding columns to the display. I haven't
figured out how to do that.

the entire protocol tree which is much more than I want.

Does the 
data/payload of a TCP message have a field name? It's not shown among the list 
of field names for TCP.
