I've updated the configure script so that the message it prints if it
can't find net/bpf.h is

  configure: error: Header file net/bpf.h not found; if you installed libpcap
  from source, did you also do "make install-incl", and if you installed a
  binary package of libpcap, is there also a developer's package of libpcap,
  and did you also install that package?

to catch the case of somebody installing an "end-user" package of
libpcap without installing a "developer's" package as well.

I'm not familiar with Mandrake, but I just looked which rpms there are:
Have you installed both libpcap0 and libpcap0-devel?

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
