[EVDL] VW conversion kit
Someone asked me if I know where he could find the components needed to convert a VW. He didn’t say which one. Any suggestions would be helpful, kit or used parts. He is in Las Vegas. Thank you for any help with this search. [EVDL] BMS boards
I've been testing several different versions of the little 18650 BMS boards. I purchased these from Amazon, as I wanted to do some testing ASAP. What you order, may or may not be what you actually receive. So far, the tests are pretty disappointing. Most of the boards that SAY they have Balance capability do. Several of the boards detect under-voltage at 2.5v, a few don't detect under voltage at all. NONE of the boards properly detect an over-voltage condition. I'm using several of my cells, and a variable power supply as the "top" cell. This lets me easily vary the cell voltage for testing. I put a 100ma load on the discharge line to see if the detect circuit works. Has anyone successfully used these cheap little boards? have you checked to see if they detect over-voltage conditions? In my case, I'm just looking to use them as balance and over/under detect. NOT switching the full charge/discharge currently like they are designed to do. I'd like to use that feature to just control a "fault detect" signal that I can make use of elsewhere. -- Bobcats and Cougars, oh my! http://john.casadelgato.com/Pets ___ Address messages to ev@lists.evdl.org No other addresses in TO and CC fields UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub ARCHIVE: http://www.evdl.org/archive/ LIST INFO: http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org
