I've charged there. I come to Kent sporadically, so you won't see my
Leaf very often, but I'm glad it's there when I need it.
Just keep talking up EVs, we'll convert folks over time.

Cor,  I plan on making a sign for the window with my cell if somebody needs an
EV charging spot, but it's kind of discouraging that a place like Kent has
almost no EV's and nobody ever charges there.  This is a progressive town, but
not for EV's.  The max occupation for this parking garage is 1 car, and that is
maybe 2 times a month for the EV charge spots.  I'll be in my new spot everyday
now, I'm guessing others have not realized the rate has been reduced to 10
cents/kWhr, but who knows, I've only seen a few EV's in Kent!

I started charging my Chevy Volt at a downtown parking deck in Kent, OH.  They
previously charged 35 cents/kWhr, so I never charged there (I can make the 42
mile round trip in my Volt without using gas in the summer, So I would only
charge at home with 13 cents/kWhr).  I just discovered that they now only
charge 10 cents/kWhr, so I plug in everyday at work in Kent and also at home.
The are 3 ChargePoint spots in the parking deck and 95% of the time I'm the
only car there.  My charge finishes before lunch and I was moving the car to
free up the spot, but it seems there's no reason to do that if no cars are
waiting.  I tried to find something on the ChargePoint website showing a
specific charge stations usage, but couldn't find anything.  Is there a way to
find out the charge stations usage over a period of time? Thanks,

Rod,
Even with all the historic data, you can’t predict when an EV’er in emergency
need of some juice will arrive, so it is good habit to free up a charger when
not actively charging there (or post instructions in your windshield how/when
unplugging is allowed if there is the possibility to use the charger from
multiple parking spots, but still then you may be blocking an EV from charging
if other spots do fill up).
Even just leaving your cell number so an EV’er in need can request you to
vacate your parking spot so he/she can fill up – if they are assertive enough
to take that step….
