I converted everything over to maildir and now mutt and evolution coexist happily. But the last line above: > but you do have to expunge your inbox when in Evo to see newly > arrived messages. ..is kind of annoying. I was happy to discover that gkrellm supports maildir, too (yay!), so I know when mail arrives, but it's a pain to have to expunge evolution in order to check existing mailboxes for external intervention. Albeit a small one :). Would it be possible to enable the 'check mail every n minutes' thing for server type none and just go and check the status of existing folders ? Seeing as how a filter only uses the folder's path on the filesystem, your claim doesn't make any sense. [Evolution] A couple of bugs ...
Hi All ... A couple of things I have noticed in the latest snapshots and am wondering if it is just me orif other people are seeing this. 1. Loading images from sender's in addressbook seems to be broken. If I click on a message and I have that sender in my addressbook, it still does not load the images unless I specifically tell it to. 2. Here's a way I can constantly lock evolution. I have a folder that recieves a number of multiple megabyte messages each day. If I click on the folder, hit Ctrl-A, Ctrl-D, Evolution, selects one of the messages seperately and tries to load it. If I hit Ctrl-E at this point (especially if on a 56k connection), it basically puts Evo in a race condition and it spins trying to load a message it just expunged. At this point, I need to do a killev and restart. I have tried this in all of the latest 10 snapshots or so and seen this behavior. My thought would be if I hit Ctrl-D after a Ctrl-A it should NOT try to actually select a message. 3. It would be really nice if the Summary has problems loading news feeds it could tell the user WHICH news feeds it had trouble with, so you can easily tell which ones to remove/report as problems. Other than those three things, Evolution is looking better and better every day. Thanks for all the great work to the guys at Ximian. Also I just noticed that reply doesn't default anymore to the address of the folder I am writing e-mail from. This was working few snapshots ago I thought. Can somebody confirm that before I fill a bug report ? Re: Fwd: Re: [Evolution] Evolution freezing when pressingSend/Receive
I just did that. bug #9521. Is there anybody else experiencing this behavior ? Maybe it is just my system. I have noticed that java doesn't work anymore in mozilla since I upgraded to 0.9.3. I don't think that the 2 could be related as I don't use ssl and I think the only thing out of Mozilla evolution use is their ssl library. But I could be wrong. Would not be the 1st time. Also I just notice that when replying, evolution doesn't anymore default to my reply address in the compose window. I thought that had been fixed few snapshots ago. Can somebody confirm that before I fill another bug report ? Re: [Evolution] Folders not always working with filters
There IS still something seriously wrong with folder creation. Just yesterday (0908 snap) I created a new folder via the folder creation dialog, and tried via Ctrl-Shift-M to move a bunch of messages into that folder. It claimed the folder (filesystem path) did not exist. I clicked on the new folder, and upon opening it (well, attempting to), Evo claimed the folder did not exist. At this point I verified through a terminal that the path did exist, though I'm not sure it did before I tried to access it. If I remember correctly, upon clicking away the error dialog, clicking to another folder and then back to the new folder, the error message did not appear and then I was able to move messages into that folder. I did not have to restart Evolution. I had seen this error since early August so I did not bother checking the status of any bug reports which I am sure are already there. --Eric 9/14/2001 9:46:10 AM, Jeffrey Stedfast <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >Seeing as how a filter only uses the folder's path on the filesystem, >your claim doesn't make any sense. How do I do this - its not obvious in the mail server >settings. That is not configurable. Mail is never actually moved to the Trash; Trash is just a vfolder and messages get permanently deleted from both the source folder and the Trash folder when you Expunge the source folder. Try doing View->Hide Deleted Messages. This may behave the way you want, though I've never tried sorting by Read/Unread so there may be a bug there. [Evolution] spell checking in evolution?
Ive managed to get the spell checking working in evo (and i need it with my grammer), but I cannot find anyway to actually alter the mistakes to the correct spelling as in abiword or allow you to add it to a database of words to check thru (as in take it from a dictonary) Mark -- A penguin a day keeps the fatal exceptions away... [Evolution] Latest Snapshot and GPG
I still can't send email to certain people using GPG and encrypting it for them only or both of us. A bug that I can see though is that even when I have something encrypted for me, as well as the recipient, it still sends the message, even though it didn't encrypt it for them too. Should that be entered in bugzilla? -- Austin Gonyou Systems Architect, CCNA Coremetrics, Inc. [Evolution] Latest Snapshot and ldap doesn't work
The previous versions before today's and yesterdays of evolution worked, but now the ldap search doesn't do anything. What has changed? I left my configuration untouched.. -Jason ___ evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution
