| Just a heads up, there is an address conduit bug that causes the loss of
| the data in the Custom fields on the pilot. This will occur during a
| slow sync or when the desktop record matching the pilot record
| changes. A patch has been written and the fix should be available in
| tomorrow's snapshots.
|
| Thanks to Jason Kasper for pointing this out.

howdy,
not to be pesky, and i know you guyz have much more to worry about right
now, but *any* info on this would be great. at least for my own sanity if
anything, 'cause i swear it was like that before... i also searched the
archives and didn't see anything about it.

thanx again...

not sure what type of specific environment you're looking for (or if i even
know what you're talking about ;)), but one i've been using for over a year
now that ROCKS is Jedit (www.jedit.org). completely written in Java, i
believe it's under GNU, and has a wide array of plugins to use.

all i've done is enable the E-conduits in the NEW gnomecc, then hit the Hot

hope this helps!

Re: [Evolution] Calendar Events

2001-09-25 Thread ///o-o\\\\\\

thanx to all for the feedback.
i think i may have figured out the problem. yes, i go thru the 'Add'
portion, but i believe the alarm never goes off if you have it set to go off
0 minutes before the event. it has to be at least 1 minute before to work.

| This baffled me for ages, until my colleague sussed it...
|
| Here's how you do it:
|
| Calendar - New Appointment - Reminder - Options [Put your message to

|
| The 'Add' bit is very important - the thing is you can have it do
| multiple things, so 'Add' adds what you've just created to the list...

Re: [Evolution] Pilot conduits and todo's

2001-09-18 Thread ///o-o\\\\\\

howdy,
i previously had jPilot up and running fine and dandy, then last nite i
updated the palm-link, palm-devel, and Gnome Palm Sync Tools in order to use
the latest evo release with palm support, through Red Carpet. what happened
was strange... it somehow removed the jPilot application from my machine
entirely, and there are 2 versions of the palm configuration in GNOME's
control center:

*MISSINGNAME*
*MISSINGNAME*
Palm Conduits
Pilot Link

Peripherals
Palm Conduits
Pilot Link

when clicking on either the Conduit configuration or the Pilot Link
configuration, the same screen comes up (i believe it's the Pilot Link
screen). i also do not have any capital E in front of any of anything, like
described in an earlier post ( ie. EtoDo, EAddress ).

unfortunately, i am unsure if the sync tools are even working properly
because i just re-installed jPilot but don't have the palm here.

any advice on the Palm weirdness? or do i have something configured wrong?
thanx a bunch...
