[Evolution] Latest Download using Red Carpet won't start.

2001-11-14 Thread Peter Nunn

I am just trying to start Evolution on my RH 7.2 box after downloading the
latest snapshot using Red Carpet and I'm getting

evolution: relocation error: /usr/lib/libevolution-importer.so.0: undefined
symbol: stat

when I try and start it from the consol (nothing when I start it from the
menu).

Same happens with either root or user login.

Any ideas.

Ta

Peter.

How late is latest? That's been fixed for at least 30 hours. At the very
least you should have 2001.11.14.08.58.

[Evolution] (no subject)

2001-11-15 Thread Peter Nunn

OK, I'm nearly sold.

Can I import my contacts and email from outlook into Evolution easily?

Also, and I know this isn't an Evolution problem, but, can I move my
bookmarks from IE 6 to Mozilla easily (if anyone knows).

I'm very close to making the switch here

Ta

Peter.

[Evolution] Transferring data from Outlook to Evolution

2001-11-17 Thread Peter Nunn

Sorry for the repeated post folks, but I didn't put a subject on the first
one by mistake and so am trying again.

Is there a way of getting my contacts and existing emails from outlook into
evolution?

There are heaps of them and I really don't want to retype them all if I can
help it.

I just tried the .pst file that outlook exports with no luck (Evolution
couldn't understand it).

It has already been suggested that I use VCards for the contacts, but that
would mean doing them one by one.

One possibility for the contacts in via my Palm. Does the palm conduit work
with Evolution?

Still doesn't help me with the emails though.

If I can sort this, I can finally give M$ the flick by the look of it

Thanks

Peter.

[Evolution] Pilot Sync Problem Fixed

2001-12-22 Thread Peter Nunn

I might be getting ahead of myself here, but I think I've just figured
out what the problem is with the pilot sync (atleast with the USB visor
anyway).

Seems that each time you change something with gnomecc, a new instance
of gpilotd is started without killing the ones already running. This
causes the whole system to get horribly confused and so nothing happens
properly.

This has take hours to work out, but after killing off all the
extraneous instances of gpilotd I managed to get my visor to sync. with
Evolution at last.

Hope in keeps working now...

Peter.
