Re: [Evolution-hackers] evolution-persist: background notification extension module for Evolution

2022-02-06 Thread Hu Jialun
Hello Milan,

Thank you for the reply!

My intention was actually to maybe first gather some feedback from the more
programming-inclined Evolution developer community, since the extension is
still rather immature and it is unlikely that an average user would feel happy
fiddling with something at such an early stage.

Again, thank you very much for pointing this out and I will definitely direct
the discussion properly and refrain from hijacking the official mailing list!

Best regards,

[Evolution-hackers] evolution-persist: background notification extension module for Evolution

2022-02-03 Thread Hu Jialun

Hello all,

I have just put together an Evolution extension to keep evolution
running in

the background after all windows are closed, since evolution-on has been
unmaintained for years and is deprecated in various aspects.

The preliminary project can be found at
https://gitlab.gnome.org/SuibianP/evolution-persist and should be
straightforward to build and install.

It would be of great assistance to test it out and any feedback would be
much
appreciated, either via the issue tracker (preferred) or through the
mailing

list.

Best regards,
Hu Jialun
