I did, and they were, but I'm not getting any email. I take it your
response means you are getting bugzilla mail? I was wondering if it was
a problem with their mail server in general, or if it was just me.

Thanks for the fix!

Nah, not necessary. I'll get it reverted.

Log into Bugzilla, go to Preferences -> Email Preferences and make sure
things are set the way you want.

Hi Matthew; that bug in gnome-icon-theme has been fixed in both the
gnome-2.30 and master branches. Do you want me to file another one
against Evo to get your change reverted?

On another topic, is anyone else getting any email from the Gnome
bugzilla? None of the changes to any of my bugs are generating email
(or anyway I'm not receiving any of it). This used to work and I don't
recall changing anything. It's annoying to have to revisit the site
when I think about it and check my bugs by hand.

I filed a gnome-icon-theme bug:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616954

If you want to track it.

Crikey! Good catch! And I see you already filed a bug:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616954

I guess I'll be reverting my work-around commit then. This is quickly
turning into a fiasco.

Well, installing the latest gnome-2.30 branch version of
gnome-icon-theme fixed the problem.

But, someone (maybe me!) has made a mistake here. The freedesktop.org
icon naming specification CLEARLY shows that the name of the icon is
"mail-mark-notjunk", not "mail-mark-not-junk":

http://standards.freedesktop.org/icon-naming-spec/icon-naming-spec-latest.html#names

mail-mark-important The icon for the mark as important action of an
electronic mail application.
mail-mark-junk The icon for the mark as junk action of an electronic
mail application.
mail-mark-notjunk The icon for the mark as not junk action of an
electronic mail application.
mail-mark-read The icon for the mark as read action of an electronic
mail application.
mail-mark-unreadThe icon for the mark as unread action of an electronic
mail application.

Ah, thanks for that. Yes, I can see that with the old name I have:

~$ locate mail-mark-notjunk
/usr/share/icons/gnome/16x16/actions/mail-mark-notjunk.png
/usr/share/icons/gnome/22x22/actions/mail-mark-notjunk.png
/usr/share/icons/gnome/24x24/actions/mail-mark-notjunk.png

But with the new name I have only:

~$ locate mail-mark-not-junk
/usr/share/icons/gnome/48x48/actions/mail-mark-not-junk.png

No doubt this is the problem.

I wonder why they don't use scalable graphics (SVG) instead of .png
files for the icons?!?! Then we wouldn't have this problem... Funnily
enough I do have SOME SVG files:

~$ locate mail-mark | grep .svg
/usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/actions/mail-mark-important.svg
/usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/actions/mail-mark-read.svg
/usr/share/icons/gnome/scalable/actions/mail-mark-unread.svg

Looks like these go in the summary buffer.

Maybe I need to install the gnome-icon-theme package from git, too... or
I guess I could just copy them over.

Sounds like a gnome-icon-theme issue to me. Last week they suddenly and
without warning dropped the "mail-mark-notjunk" icon from their "stable"
release, as apparently it was a redundant and misspelled version of the
correct icon name: "mail-mark-not-junk" (extra dash).

All I did was work around it:
