[Evolution] Crash when upgrading to evo 2.10.1

2007-05-02 Thread Ignacio Mas Ivars

Hi all,
I have just upgraded evo to 2.11.1 from the 2.10 client in Ubuntu and I
cannot start evolution. The console shows the following segfault:

evolution-mail-CRITICAL: mail_tool_uri_to_folder: assertion `uri != NULL'
failed.

However, if I move out the .evolution subdir and start again (without
touching the gconf values), evo starts without a glitch and shows my mail
accounts (without the downloaded mail that I just moved away, of
course)...

The only way to see mt locally stored mail is by downgrading evo to 2.10.1
and evo-data-server to 1.10.1

I guess that it must be something related to a plugin that I have enabled
or a filter or some type? I just can't find the problem...

Any hints? This are the versions of my client:

evolution 2.11.1.1-0ubuntu1
evolution-plugins 2.11.1.1-0ubuntu1
evolution-data-server 1.11.1-0ubuntu1

Thanks!

This site may be helpful. They now have a working lib for mapi
access. From what I have heard is it works through Samba.

Hopefully it can be made to work with Evolution.

They have a working plugin for evo, too. But, it requires svn samba4,
so I didn't try it.

[Evolution] change new appointment default from for till until

2007-05-02 Thread carpetnailz
I've just switched to evolution 2.10.1 and one new feature is bothering
me.

When I make a new appointment it takes two clicks to get the form to
show until rather than for in the Time section. I always use
until. How can I cause that to be the default option on the new
appointment form?

Thanks

[Evolution] direct push

2007-05-02 Thread Trey Nolen
I am using Evolution 2.10.1 with Evolution Exchange under Ubuntu Feisty
Fawn. We use an Exchange 2003 server with Exchange SP2 installed. I
use the direct push features to sync wirelessly to my Windows Mobile 5
device (Treo 700w). For some reason, appointments put into Evolution do
not get synced to my device. They DO show up on my Outlook Web Access,
but they never show up on the device. Appointments made on the device
DO show up on Evolution. Appointments made in Outlook do show up on the
device. Does anyone have any idea why the Evolution appts. don't show
up?
