Yes, it was in a different color (or highlighted). It seems to be smart
enough to remember it even after I showed another folder and came back
to this folder. I just needed to clear the box. I guess one of typical
user errors ;(

The Search box should change colour when in use, to warn you of this.

Thanks poc,

Next time, I'll take a close look at these files.

Never mind. Somehow "Advanced Search" got stuck in the search box and
mode of folder files got changed and those seemed to have caused this
problem. It works as it should now.

Is the folder local or on a server? If it's on a server, can you check
it with a different mail client?

In any case, try deleting the index files corresponding to the folder
and restarting Evolution. The index files are found
under .evolution/mail ina a directory depending on the protocol and
folder hierarchy, and have names ending in ".ev-summary" and
".ibex.index". Evo will recreate them when it starts up.

[Evolution] Blackhole folder

2008-11-22 Thread toshi esumi
I'm using Evolution 2.22.1.1 running on openSuSE 11.0. And I recently
noticed one of my folder I created to store email from my friend doesn't
show any email in it. I can move email from inbox into this folder
called "Friends" but as soon as I do, it disappears. If this is a common
trouble and was discussed in this list, please point me to the thread in
the archive.

How well does the calendar support work? I can access our Exchange
server just fine with POP and IMAP, so I won't use the MAPI connector
for that. What I need is meeting scheduling because that currently only
works via the Outlook web interface.
