[Evolution] Steps to Update/Upgrade Evo we can use
Hi all I also have a similar situation - currently using Mint12, Evo 3.2.2 and expecting to move another more recent version of Mint LMDE Xfc 32bit. Therefore I have backedup Evo files and now need to know how to use them in the 'mirgration process'. What do use next and how? tia Chris ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

As written on http://library.gnome.org/users/evolution/3.4/intro-first-run.html , Evolution will ask you for restoring from a backup. andre -- mailto:ak...@gmx.net http://blogs.gnome.org/aklapper ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

What do you mean by I have backedup Evo files do you mean [a] you made copies of some files you believe are important or [b] does it mean you used the backup feature *built into* Evolution? Option [b] should work, option [a] will fail. ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

[Evolution] WebID integration
hi, my name is jürgen jakobitsch. i'm a member of w3c's webid community group [1]. we are currently debating about signed emails which in include a webID [2][3]. i just filed an enhancement bug report [4], because Subject's Alternative Names are not displayed when i open a certificate. From what i can tell from source it is kind of trivial to include support for displaying the values of SAN. my question however is : is it possible to change certificate-viewer.c (smime/gui) behaviour via an ePlugin? what i intend to do is to create WebID support in evolution in such a way the i can retrieve information about a webID, which comes with a signed mail (in der certificate's SAN) or do i have to change the source code and build evolution myself? also please note, i'm a total gnome development newbie, so any pointer to some sort of ePlugin template i can use as a starter is warmly welcome. please also note that a webID is basically a URI pointing to a foaf document, like this : http://www.turnguard.com/turnguard. what i wanna do is to add another tab to certificate viewer and display the name (http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/givenName in the above example) and the picture (http://xmlns.com/foaf/0.1/depiction in the above example). any pointer and|or help greatly appreciated. wkr turnguard [1] http://www.w3.org/community/webid/ [2] http://webid.info/ [3] http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/webid/spec/ [4] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=685230 -- | Jürgen Jakobitsch, | Software Developer | Semantic Web Company GmbH | Mariahilfer Straße 70 / Neubaugasse 1, Top 8 | A - 1070 Wien, Austria | Mob +43 676 62 12 710 | Fax +43.1.402 12 35 - 22 COMPANY INFORMATION | web : http://www.semantic-web.at/ | foaf : http://company.semantic-web.at/person/juergen_jakobitsch PERSONAL INFORMATION | web : http://www.turnguard.com | foaf : http://www.turnguard.com/turnguard | g+: https://plus.google.com/111233759991616358206/posts | skype : jakobitsch-punkt | xmlns:tg = http://www.turnguard.com/turnguard#; smime.p7s Description: S/MIME cryptographic signature ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
Re: [Evolution] A couldn't recover my old folders after a backup/restore operation
Hey Pete! Your solution worked perfectly well. Since the information was already unpacked I just have to point to the right directory and my messages were readable again.
