[Evolution] Erronously disabled account
In evolution mail, I right-clicked on the account name of the account in which I have all my mail, organized in many subfolders, and I got a 3-commands menu showing: - New folder - Disable account - Properties I clicked the Disable account command, and magically the account with all its folders structure disappeared. Since the menu item says disable account, I suppose there is - somewhere - a command to re-enable the account I disabled, but I can't find it, Anyone could help me to restore all my account with all its folders? Re: [Evolution] Erronously disabled account
Since the menu item says disable account, I suppose there is - somewhere - a command to re-enable the account I disabled, but I can't find it, Edit - Preferences and then tick the box next to the account name. Ok, I've seen it and resolved the issue. However, I wondered why wasn't I able to find it, and I think the answer is that when I had configured the account on my evolution (about 7/8 years ago) I had defined a gmail account, and actually I have a gmail account in my preferences, but it had remained active when I erronously disabled. The account I had to reenable is the on this computer one, and it cannot be edited!! Apparently it receives the incoming mail from the gmail account, which is my predefined one This is a mess I cannot understand well... where can I find an explication of these things? or does the mess come from some erronous position of my mail folders? -- don Paolo Benvenuto http://parrocchialagaccio.it - momenti di vita parrocchiale http://it.cathopedia.org - Cathopedia, l'enciclopedia cattolica http://www.qumran2.net - Materiale per la pastorale ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

Re: [Evolution] Erronously disabled account
Hi :) I suspect you might have to login to the webmail version of Gmail and check the settings in there to see if it's forwarding or receiving emails form the other account. Then login to the other account and see if that is set-up to forwards or pull email from your Gmail account. A couple of weeks ago i managed to set both my accounts to pull mail from the other and to push mail to the other. Luckily i realised after i woke up and managed to stop them both but i still haven't cleared up the mess it left! Re: [Evolution] Contact list anomaly
I was able to find the contact by the email address search. When I opened it to edit, the full name was there as well, so I don't know why it didn't show up, even when I scrolled through the entire contact list. I saved the edit contact dialog and now it's working right. Whatever.
