Re: [Evolution] Lines in Message List Not Highlighted
I have just upgraded to Fedora-20, and am running evolution under KDE. Everything seems to work OK, except for highlighting in some cases. In particular, the active line of the message list is not highlighted, nor is selected text in a message being composed. Selected text in a message that has been received is highlighted in pale blue; highlighting in the folder list works as before. What's the reason and/or cure? I suspect that this may be under control of a new Gnome parameter. Any truth to this? Evolution is a Gnome application so you need to be playing with Gnome and GTK themes. What's more, you need to make sure you have enough of the backend Gnome infrastructure running such that Evolution can pick up the required information. (In the past I would have said make sure that gconfd is running, but I don't think Evolution uses much gconf these days - perhaps it's dconf-service you don't have running.) If you refer to getting a newer version of the application, please ask in an Ubuntu support channel if somebody can package that for you. Note that providing packages for distribution XY is out of scope for upstream developers - it is the task of the distribution's packagers. Re: [Evolution] Cursor positioning on replies
Milan Crha wrote: Hi, a quick check shows that this is the same in current development version (3.11.4), thus it might be intended (and depends on your reply style). A lame workaround would be to set (in Edit-preferences-Composer Preferences) to place your signature also at the top, but it's not only lame, but also wrong, if you use mail signatures (they should be at the bottom, ideally). I'm not aware of anything else, I'm sorry. Bye, Milan The same ‘issue’ exists just with signatures. When you create a new email the signature is placed at the top, while it would nicer -IMVHO- with the message body set to a couple of newlines. ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
