You might even not being able to edit the meeting if not an organizer, thus this is probably not a problem. [1] Do you not get the question only when you are creating a fresh new meeting, or you miss the Send/Do Not Send question also when changing an already existing meeting? If it's the former, then it's a bug and worth a report. If you cannot edit created meetings, then the issue is elsewhere. [Evolution] Restoring data to new HDD
Greetings, I am having to change HDDs and with that from Solydx testing to Solydx stable. Testing has Evol. 3.12.6 and stable has Evol. 3.4.4. The testing OS will become the stable OS sometime early next year hopefully with 3.12.6 but I don't know for sure. I believe they will not restore backwards in versions. I have a tar.gz with 3.12.7 but I have never successfully installed one. Can this be done on this Debian system or do I have to wait for next year? I have both OSs going right now so email is still working and I have time to ponder this. Any help would be appreciated. Are you sure you correctly disabled it? OpenSSL has a cipher parameter, which also accept protocols as an alias for all ciphers from that version. Such setting looks like it's the way to disable SSL3, but what it does is to disable all SSL3 ciphers. TLS1 doesn't add new ciphers, so a change like that ends up disabling TLS1, too. Any TLS1 connection to a system with such configuration will end up failing with a "no shared ciphers" error. > ssldump on the server shows that a SSLv3 hello is issued by Evolution. > Since that is not supported, the connection dies without an attempt to > use any of the newer protocols. [Evolution] [Calendar] Automatically send invitations to participants of a meeting
Dear Evolution users, I started to use Evolution’s calendar with the Radicale CalDAV (calendar) and CardDAV (contact) server [1] and the client, in this case Evolution, has to send out the invitations as the server does not support that. When scheduling a meeting, I can list the participants. Is there an option that Evolution sends an invitation to these automatically? That would save me from having to manually right click on the vent and choose “Forward as iCalendar” in the context menu [2]? I am using Debian Sid/unstable with Evolution 3.12.7. Hi Folks, New to Evolution, using 3.10.4 on Mint 17, 64 bit. The mail client runs all day and filters sling important personal e-mail to my mobile phone account when I'm at work, but although the filters themselves are working, the mail is sitting in the outbox and aren't being sent. I read old forum threads about, "invisible options," and various other bits about settings in the gconf editor which aren't present in mine. The other folders auto sync fine, but just not the outbox. Re: [Evolution] corrupted folder, email headers don't match contents
Thanks!! Deleting folders.db and reloading from server fixed the problem. Glad to hear this is not a common/reoccurring problem!! I hate it when stuff gets corrupted. Hi, it seems your local folder summary got corrupted for some reason (I do not recall when I saw anything similar the last time). You can let evolution re-download the whole summary, it's just a copy of the server data, when you delete it from the disk. The file with the summary is stored at: ~/.cache/evolution/mail//folders.db It's an SQLite database, and you can eventually delete only the table of the name of the affected folder, but if you never played with SQL as such then a remove of the folders.db file is the easiest way. Of course, the next start evolution will download summary information for all your folders, thus if you have many messages, then it'll take its time. Hi, a link for the fix is here: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/evolution-list/2014-October/msg00113.html The STARTTLS doesn't work for IMAP if the server doesn't advertise it as a possible authentication method, while it can still use TLS algorithms with "SSL" (secure connection). Is your IMAP server actually an Exchange server ( but accessed via IMAP, of course )? If it is, it's a server problem. I've seen this happen with Exchange servers accessed via EWS, I would not be surprised if this problem manifested itself via IMAP as well.
