Hi,
could you install debuginfo packages for evolution-data-server and
evolution, reproduce the crash and provide a backtrace of the crash,
please? Without that it's hard to guess how much known it is.

By the way, the current stable version is 3.16.4. Even 3.16.3 received
quite many changes in the composer part since 3.16.0 was released.

[Evolution] tabs in message cause evolution (3.16.0) to crash

2015-07-29 Thread John Lauterbach
I used the space bar to create the message below. When I use the tab key,
evolution (3.16.0) and try to send the message, evolution crashes immediately.
Is this a known bug?
Thank you, John

Check this out. Have not tried it myself, though:
http://archivemail.sourceforge.net/

You might first use a search folder / filter to distribute mails to a
special maildir and/or mbox account.
Also, keep in mind that evolution uses sqlite databases (named
folders.db, I think) to keep basic information about mails. So, you
might consider saving these database files as well if you need to
quickly do a search for specific mails at a later time!

Also, you might look at:
http://searchstorage.techtarget.com/definition/e-mail-archiving
or do a google search for "mail archive linux"

Hope this helps,

Thx for a great explanation... Making the unmaximized window almost the same as
maximized solved my problem... :)

[Evolution] Delete quote ">" signs

2015-07-29 Thread Andrea Vai
Hi,
in evo 3.10.4 it was possible to remove the ">" characters from a
(part of a) message, by selecting some quoted text and clicking on
"Decrease indent" (Ctrl+[). I used to do it very often.

In evo 3.16.0 this is no longer possible, is it a regression or by
design?

Thank you,
Andrea
