[Evolution] Feature request - clickable links in meeting invite reminders
Hi I've been using evolution for a few years now, so thanks for all the hard work that goes into it. One item that would be useful is to be able to click on a link in the comment area of a meeting invite. Several folks include the url to their online meeting in the comments rather than the location. When the reminder pops up it would be great to be able to click on the link rather than cut and paste it. The ALT key is used for accelerators (as is fairly standard in Gnome/Gtk), so holding down the ALT key is seen as "preparation" for pressing another character to activate a menu. If you look carefully, pressing the ALT key causes a number of letters to become underlined - pressing the corresponding letter will open that menu. In this case, you want ALT-V to select the View menu then you can navigate using either the mouse or arrow keys. This is not abnormal - it is standard Gnome behaviour, and to be honest if you turn off the menu bar then it is hoped that you know what you are doing. It may not be intuitive to you, but it's what it is in Gnome, and I'm sort of struggling to think what would be the "intuitive" way of re-enabling the menu bar! So whatever you look at, you'll have to ask its authors. Or provide clear steps where/how to see that sentence. andre -- Andre Klapper | ak...@gmx.net http://blogs.gnome.org/aklapper/ ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

Exactly what's needed. Some comments: 1. The text of the View->Layout is confusing. The "To Do" bar is not a bar; it's a pane. Everything else in the Layout popup is in fact a bar. 2. I decided to see what the other possible actions in the View- >Layout popup do, and foolishly disabled the Menu Bar. It's not easy to get it back. The manual advises me to "Right click in Terminal and select Show Menubar". What is this Terminal? — It is possible to get the menubar back by holding down the ALT key, which makes the menu bar visible but not active; when ALT is released the menubar remains visible for a few seconds and becomes active. You can then select View->Layout and re-enable the menu bar. This is not intuitive; Evolution is intended to be an application and not a computer game. ___ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

[Evolution] Evolution's "To Do" pane
I have just upgraded my system to Fedora-27, which has caused Evolution to upgrade to 3.26.3 (3.26.3-1.fc27). Evolution now has a "To Do" pane, which I don't want, since I use another program for calendar and scheduling. How can I remove the "To Do" pane? [Evolution] HTML editor
Hi all, I'm writing from an updated oldstable debian box (Jessie - 8.10) with Gnome 3.14.1 and Evolution 3.12.9. I'm wondering if it's possible to improve in some way the Evolution HTML editor, since it's really basic. What I really need are ordered/unorderd lists. I tried the "External editor" plugin, but it works only on text mail.
