I do this by copying / synchronizing the full mail folder of the evolution directory between computers. My systems are Ubuntu linux and the mail folder is in .local/share/evolution/mail/local. Carefully synchronize your folder from your active computer to an external drive and from there onto the computer you use next. I use the rsync routine with the following codes: rsync -rauv --delete /home/yourcomputerloginname/.local/share/evolution/mail/local /media/yourcomputerloginname/drivenameTo sync with computer:rsync -rauv --delete /media/yourcomputerloginname/drivename/local home/yourcomputerloginname/.local/share/evolution/mail--delete is used to ensure that any folder changes are incorporated in the copy. Best that you learn about how it works first because it deletes files out of place.__Bert

[Evolution] How to move and merge archive?

2019-09-16 Thread W Van Snyder
I have mail archives on two computers -- one at work and one at home.
These are in my own filing systems, not on mail servers.

Is it possible to copy an archive from one computer to another, and
still see all the table-of-contents?

[Evolution] flatpak evolution 3.32.5 hanging on attachment upload

2019-09-16 Thread Japhering, Anonymous via evolution-list
Linux Mint 19.2
Flatpak Evolution 3.32.5 (flatpak git2ee5104)

I write an email, attach a 700k file, evolution hangs with the
message uploading files.
Hang time is 3-10 minutes depending on the target ( 3-5 minutes to
gmail/g-suite, 5-10 minutes to Office 365),
at which point I get a generic failure message an the option to
continue editing, discard or retry.

If I continue editing and save as draft, when I come back to the draft,
I'm offered the ability to add an attachment, but
the system with won't take it or isn't displaying it in the attachment
bar ( don't know which at this point ).

Thoughts or work arounds for either situation ?
