The issue is consistency. For example, I'm on the vim-dev mailing
list. Some new messages from this list end up in my trash bin. Some
don't. I've reviewed the list of rules several times. None of my
filters delete anything.

[Evolution] Filter rules automatically sending mail to trash

2019-05-08 Thread Jason Franklin via evolution-list
Greetings,

I subscribe to some high-volume mailing lists. To avoid having all
mail dumped into my inbox, I defined filter rules to sort incoming mail
that belonged to certain mailing lists.

Now that these rules are in effect, some mail is being automatically
sent to trash. I can see this because a new, unread message will
appear in my trash folder every now and then.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

Thanks,
Jason Franklin

I was using the "Ubuntu-mono-dark" theme. I am not sure how to check
what size of icons are available in this icon theme.

The size problem did not occur with the Adwaita theme.

Re: [Evolution] Inconsistent use of icons in mail side bar

2019-04-19 Thread Jason Franklin via evolution-list
Ralf and Andre,

I was able to experiment with the Adwaita icon theme.

I discovered three things:

1. The archive folder also does not use a filing cabinet under
   Adwaita.
2. The current folder indicator does not make consistent
   use of icons under Adwaita.
3. The size of the current folder indicator icons IS consistent
   under Adwaita.

I filed issues regarding #1 and #2 on GitLab. How to proceed with #3?

Thanks,
Jason Franklin

Sorry. It looks like part of the quoted text in my last reply was cut
off.

It does:

I'm not sure how to answer this. How could I check the default icon
theme? I searched the help to no avail.

Looks like there are two enhancement requests to file:

1. Use the proper icon for the archive folder in the side bar.
2. Fix the size and usage of icons in the current folder indicator.

Just to be clear: Do I file these with the Evolution project on GitLab,
or with the issue tracker for Ubuntu? You mention my distribution's
issue tracker. Just trying to get my next action right.

[Evolution] Inconsistent use of icons in mail side bar

2019-04-19 Thread Jason Franklin via evolution-list
Evolution version: 3.28.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.1

Greetings,

I've noticed that the side bar in the mail view in my instance of
Evolution has inconsistent usage of the icons available.

The images can be found here: https://pasteboard.co/IaSTsPk.png

Notice a couple of things immediately:

1. The archive folder doesn't use a filing cabinet (even though
Evolution recognizes this folder as my archive).

2. The current folder indicators (the region above the folder tree in
the sidebar) are very inconsistent in the usage of icons and the size
of the icons. Some icons aren't used and some are 32x32 (maybe?) while
others are 16x16.

I can't find discussion of it on GitLab, so I thought I'd check here to
see if plans to fix it are already in the works.

Thanks!
Jason Franklin

[Evolution] Blocked by auto-moderator

2019-04-18 Thread Jason Franklin via evolution-list
Greetings,

I sent an email to this list a few days ago that was blocked by the
auto-mod. The email was over the size limit due to screenshots that I
provided to show my problem. The email I received said the human-mod
would look at it and that I would hear back.

I haven't heard back, and I haven't seen the email show up on this list
yet.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Jason

[Evolution] Custom ordering for IMAP folders in sidebar

Is it possible to specify the order in which IMAP folders appear in my
sidebar? I would like for my own custom ordering to take precedence
over alphabetical ordering.

[Evolution] File cabinet icon for archives

2019-03-05 Thread Jason Franklin via evolution-list
Evolution Version: 3.28.5-0ubuntu0.18.04.1

Greetings,

In my version of Evolution, there are a lot of nice icons. I'd like to
use the filing cabinet icon for my archive folder in my IMAP account.
For some reason, I don't see an easy way to specify the the icon for
one of my folders. Is this configurable?

Thanks,
Jason Franklin

Re: [Evolution] special folder "Working Set"

2019-03-05 Thread Jason Franklin via evolution-list
Martin,

I found that I could hide folders like this:

1. right click account
2. click properties
3. click receiving options
4. check show only subscribed folders, then OK
5. right click account again
6. click manage subscriptions
7. only subscribe to what you want from this window

Hopefully, that will solve your problem. I'm using another mail
service, but this helped me unsubscribe from one of the default folders
in my account.
