Thanks Milan, I hadn't noticed the change.

Hi,
just side note, this is not true since 3.26.0:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=781744
Otherwise I agree, it can be that the server stores sent messages and
also the Evolution saves those messages to the same folder. Check the
Defaults tab in the mail account Properties. The behavior also depends
on the account type (being it IMAP, EWS, ...).
Bye,

First of all, what is your version of Evolution? (See Help->About).

Secondly, is your mail provider storing Sent messages on its own (i.e.
separately from what Evolution does)? Gmail for example does this, so I
configure my Evo Sent folder to a local one as neither Evo nor Gmail
allow you to turn off keeping copies of sent mail.

[Evolution] Duplicate emails in "sent" folder

2019-05-09 Thread Artur Gomes via evolution-list
Hi team,

First of all, I would like to thank to the Evolution email client makers for
this excellent product.
I was, and still am in Windows, a Thunderbird user. Recently, I got knowledge
of this email client and, until now, I'm finding it splendid. It's my main
email client now in Mint.

Ok. My question is about surely any misconfiguration that I have in my client.
The point is that the huge percentage of messages that I send, are shown
duplicated in the "Sent" folder. They have exactly the same content and
configuration (date/time sent and so on). The thing is that they are duplicated.
Checking the Sent folder in my web-mail page, I found that the messages also
there are appearing duplicated.

Is there any misconfiguration? Am I doing something wrong? Is my recipients
receiving also duplicate messages? (That would be so annoying... [:-(] ).

Many thanks for your kind help.

Regards,
