No, I installed (and used) evolution-mapi from this PPA myself without
problems!

I have created a clean PPA [1] just with Evolution 2.32.2 (currently).

Does the evolution-mapi still have problems with dependencies in this

[Evolution] Evolution 2.32(.2) PPA for Ubuntu 10.10/Maverick

2011-02-17 Thread Thomas Novin
Hello

I have created a clean PPA [1] just with Evolution 2.32.2 (currently).
This is really not my work but Michael Kuhn's (which has the ppa
https://launchpad.net/~suraia/+archive/ppa). Problem there is that there
are so many other packages. There has been a discussion about this on
Ubuntu Forums [2].

Try it out, add it from a terminal with:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:konstigt/evolution

Then upgrade Evolution

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

To be on the safe side, log out after this step and then login again to
be sure all processes are running at the correct version.

WARNING! Since 2.32 stores mail/settings etc. in different locations,
don't do this if you intend to go back to 2.30 again! This migration
will run automatically first time you start 2.32.
