 This will be very helpful.
A couple of messages isn't going to do it. You need at least 100 or so
on average.

Evo has no configuration options to tune the junk filters. You need to
read the docs for Spamassassin or Bogofilter, according to which one you
use.

Alternatively, you could set up an input filter for the domains/users
you want to whitelist, and refile the messages so they won't be seen by
the junk filter. Probably not very practical for most people.

Evolution doesn't do any spam filtering on its own -- it just
runs spamassasin or bogofilter (depending on which plugin is
active) and then parses the results. Which means that if you have
problems with your spam filtering, the easiest way how to fix it
is to contact email list of the particular anti-spam program.

Take a look at your settings (Edit/Settings/Mail settings/Junk
mail/Default junk plugin) which plugin is being used and then go
there.

The website for bogofilter is http://www.bogofilter.org, the one
for SpamAssasin is http://spamassassin.apache.org/.

Best,

Matěj

 Hello

Have you tried marking a couple of hundred/thousand good messages as
Not Junk? This ought to make Evolution (well, the underlying
spam-scanner really) learn not to mark your valid mails as being spam.

Hai

I am using evolution for the last one year and i am facing this
problem .

I had enabled the option in
*/Mail Preferences- Junk- check incoming mail for junk/*.

The problem is that most of my good mails are fetched in
the junk folder.
My email server has spam filter and i had whitelisted all the mail ids
and domains there.
Our email server whitelists those mails but evolution fetches some
mails from my

company domain to inbox and some mail to junk folder.

if i disable the junk mail option, all our company mails are
correctly fetched in the Inbox.

Could you please let me know what settings i should do so that good
mails are not

detected as spam?
