[Evolution] thanks

2011-09-17 Thread Ernest Sales
Let me thank all and everyone who has contributed to bring Evolution to
its current maturity. Along with syncevolution, these two programs made
a difference for me and my family: the occasion to finally get rid of
the last piece of propietary software at home. Migration is being a hard
work, but whatever.

[Evolution] Thanks!

2020-08-07 Thread Dennis Reichel
I just added a condition to an existing rule and noticed the form
scrolled up so the text box (or whatever that field is called) for
entering the new condition was visible.
This is very convenient and I wanted to let the developers know people
appreciate their efforts.
using Evolution 3.36.4 (3.36.4-1.fc32)

[Evolution] Thanks from a recent convert....

2019-11-07 Thread Ben Frawley via evolution-list
I am traditionally a Thunderbird user, and have used it for many years.
I dont want to compare the two and slag of one, they are both fabulous
soft wares, and very similar to each other.
The purpose of this message is more to say, thanks to those who write
and maintain Evoluntion, its a great alternative to thinderbird that up
until recently I had no idea of its existence. Well done you guys !!!
Just for interest sake, the reason I swapped to Evoluntion was its
seemless setup of my Gmail accounts. For some reason Thunderbird keeps
returning errors when trying to set them up.
For me, Im just glad to find something that works, so thank you.
One quick question, I can see the setting to change the font size in
the preview pane, but not the setting to change the font size in the
inbox pane. Can someone give me a pointer?
Regards Benny

That's defined desktop-wide by GNOME. See "Fonts > Interface Text" in
the separate "Tweaks" application to change its setting.

[Evolution] Thanks to Pete Briggs, Phishing virus 2

2009-07-09 Thread James a martin
Thanks to Pete Briggs, I can now use Evolution again.

For some reason, my messages to evolution-list do not show up in my
emails from evolution-list and are in a scrubbed file.

I am not sure if I am OK now or not. Evolution seems to be working
normally for me, but my system showed some errors when I first turned it
on this morning. I disconnected my internet cable and it started OK.
then I turned it off, connected internet, and it stared OK.

Based on what Pete said, the content I found using ClamTK may not have
been my problem. It seems something was using my computer to send over
500 emails in an hour. Verizon called this abusive and turned off my
capability to send for 24 hours. This has happened 4 times over a
period of a month. Other problems I have, like very slow booting, may
also be related, because the computer is busy sending the emails.

If "something" was using your machine to send massive amounts of mail,
it's important to find out what it was and how it happened. You said
earlier that this is an Ubuntu machine. Perhaps you have a rootkit you
aren't aware of.

You *seriously* need to check your machine or this is going to happen
again.
