I'm not even sure why we allow the sidebar to be hidden. Oh, it's brilliant. I have it off most of the time. Evolution is fine on a 1920x1080 monitor, but when disconnected on my laptop there's insufficient screen real estate to see subject titles, especially in threaded mailing-list discussions. Turning off the side pane makes Evolution far more usable.
