For contact person ur formula should be =VLOOKUP($F$2,DATA!$B:$G,3,0) And so on. i.e instead of A it shoul start from B.as unique value is in col. B. Hope it will haelp u. Dear Masters, I have one issue.. I am creating one file wants to use data validation with list (giving name to a range of vendor). My data sheet contains few columns.ColumnA - Vendor name, B - service type. As one vendormay provide I have 2 or more options in column B against same vendors. Thus my list or say name range covers Vendor name more than once. I want to avoid this in data Validation. I want to seeVendor's name only once not more than that (as like filter). row it will give u 1 only if the cell will contain a.
