Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Requesting help to generate progress reports in Excel ...

2011-01-20 Thread Greg Mouning
Hi Ayush,

Awesome job! The pie chart displays the contents I requested.

However, I question the win/loss percentage. It should total 100% and
currently it totals 155%... I believe the total loss percentage = 55% is
accurate as we had a losing session. That would mean the total win
percentage should calculate to 45%. This would means the win percentage for
each player should be smaller as well.

Can you verify this?

Greg

 Dear Ayush,

Thank you the graphs you generated look awesome! I love the bar chart
particularly as it demonstrates our team progress over 16 weeks.

As for the pie chart, I am not sure that it represents what I am
looking to report. I guess first, I want a pie chart that shows 9 slices.
Because there are 16 weeks of data and I can only play 5 out of 8 players
each week; the total number of weeks (16) multiplied by (5) matches
 equal 80
total matches. I think it needs to use all 80 games and create a
 percentage
of each persons wins which demonstrates their individual contribution.
 This
percentage, should should make up 8 slices of the pie, one for each
 player.
Finally, there needs to be (1) remaining slice to represent the
 remainder of
the pie which is the total matches loss.

If there is a way to add the win/loss records of individual players,
that would be perfect. For example, in my case I played 11 matches, so it
needs to display the following data inside of my slice of the pie:

 G Mouning
 8%
 (3-8)

I don't know if this explanation is any more helpful but I thought I
should try to explain what I want differently. Thanks again for your
 additional assistance.

 Best regards,
  Greg

 Hi,

 I have a very stupid question here. I am using Excel 2003. I don't
know why when I am trying to enter a function in the spreadsheet, the
remaining part will not show up.

For example, when I am trying to enter the function: concatenate. I
will write =conca And the remaining part will pop up. The only thing
I need do is to hit tab instead of filling the characters one by
 one.

Which step can bring this auto filling back alive to my Excel?

 Thanks in advance!
