All your records in Equity, Debentures and Mutual fund are unique. Why
don't you just put everything in one sheet and do a lookup using sumproduct.

Check attached

You can refer to sheets using INDIRECT. However, I wouldn't recommend using
INDIRECT until absolutely necessary.

It is more to do with the single thread working of VBA. Your code execution
will always be sequential, and that the limitation that many VBA developers
have a grudge about.

Coming to your original request, you could use a marquee using HTML,
embedded in to a user form. I am not sure if an HTML object can be embedded
on a sheet, but I have seen it work on a user form.

details vertically one below the other in the report design view manually,
it takes a lot of time and the chances of missing out some scheme is also
there. So please guide if it is possible to prepare the report as desired
by using some kind of report wizard.

Further is it possible that the sum of total earning is also calculated

The solution provided was for the previous attachment you sent. Not this
attachment. For your new requirement, you should be ideally starting a new
post.

Now, can you please show example of more than 2, columns. Multiple columns.
That will help the volunteers here understand what you need better, and
provide an apt solution.

I would like to improve on this process even more and need further
help. The problem I have is that each month when I create a new
worksheet I lose the headers and footers established for each rep
report along with the report totals on the last page. Please refer
to the attached file. Is there some way to retain the headers and
footers, along with the total on the last page, when creating the
individual rep worksheet? Is it possible to overwrite the existing
rep worksheet, thereby retaining the headers and footers, rather
than creating a new worksheet?

Thank you very much for your help!

Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ how to create a list based on query or some kind
of compound list

I am working on project assignment workbook. I have a PROJECT
worksheet that define project and task, I will get the data from
project managers about the hours per week for the each of the project
tasks. So the worksheet structure like below:

Project Name | Task Name | Jan-12 (hr)|Feb-12(hr)|Mar-20(hr)
---
Proj-A1000 | App Dev |160 |160| 80
Proj-A1000 | App Test|40|80 |100
Proj-B1011 | Test |80|80| 40

Then I want to have a worksheet to assign a person to the task and
then inherit the work hours for the project task.

So the TASK ASSIGNMENT worksheet will look like:

Resource Name|Project Name|Task Name |Jan-12 (hr)|Feb-12(hr)|
Mar-20(hr)
-
Paul |Proj-A1000 | App Dev | 160 |
160| 80
Alex |Proj-B1011 | Test | 80
| 80| 40

I want to be able to select value from Project Name and Task Name from
PROJECT WORKSHEET when I am on the Project Name and Task Name from
TASK ASSIGNMENT worksheet. I can use the list Data Validation
feature for Excel 2010 for creating a drop down list for for Project
Name column. But I don't know how to do that for the Task Name
column on the TASK ASSIGNMENT worksheet as the list will have to be
based on Project Name selected for the person.

I am not a Excel or VBA developer, and I cannot figure out here.

Can experts in this group provide some direction?

Many thanks,

John

Please

Don,

OK I'll try to explain it more clearly:

As per the file attached:

1) Data is entered into the RoomReservations Sheet using the Form Sheet as
an excel userform. This Form Sheet contains the Following Fields as shown
below:

  Booking Ref Ref001
  Guest First Name Chris
  Guest Surname Kevin
  Guest Phone No 309 0478
  Guest Email Address cke...@gmail.com
  Guest Country PNG
  Check In Date 15/01/2012
  Check Out Date 17/01/2012
  Adult Guests 2
  Children Guests 2
  Room Type Suite
  Room No 601
  Booking Status Confirmed
  No of Nights 2
  Rate 350
  % Discount 0.25
  Total Payment 700
  Remarks Paid

2) After entering the data the Add Bookings button on the Form Sheet is
clicked to transfer the data from the FormSheet to the RoomReservation
Sheet. The Headers start at row 6. The first entry is added to row 7.

3) To view previously added bookings the the following bottons on the Form
Sheet are clicked. first record, previous record, next record, last
record .This brings up or populates the previous record from the
RoomReservation Sheet to the Form Sheet for viewing

4) When I click on the the first record button it goes beyond row7 to row
1, showing blanks cells on the Form Sheet and not row 7. What I want is, when
I click on the first record button, record on row 7 to show on the Form
Sheet instead of going to row 1 and showing blank cells.

5) When I click on the the previous record button it goes beyond row 7, row
6, row 5 etc, etc, to row 1. What I want is, when I click on the previous
record button, view records untill row 7 and not row 6 etc, etc to row 1.

6) To get to the field of it try clicking these buttons to see how it works
currently.

Please refeer to the attached file.

I hope I have explained myself clearly and thanks you once again in advance for
any help that I may recieve.

Didn’t get a chance to fully look at it but have you tried simply
deleting rows on the source sheet? Shutting down.
Where are you and what is this for?

 Help Please

   Don,

OK I'll try to explain it more clearly:

 As per the file attached:

 1) Data is entered into the RoomReservations Sheet using the Form
Sheet as an excel userform. This Form Sheet contains the Following Fields
 as shown below:

Booking Ref Ref001 Guest First Name Chris Guest Surname Kevin Guest
 Phone No 309 0478 Guest Email Address * * *cke...@gmail.com* Guest
Country PNG Check In Date 15/01/2012 Check Out Date 17/01/2012 Adult
Guests * * *2* Children Guests 2 Room Type Suite Room No 601 Booking
Status Confirmed No of Nights 2 Rate 350 % Discount 0.25 Total
 Payment 700 Remarks Paid

 2) After entering the data the Add Bookings button on the Form Sheet
is clicked to transfer the data from the FormSheet to the
RoomReservation Sheet. The Headers start at row 6. The first entry is
 added to row 7.

 3) To view previously added bookings the the following bottons on the
Form Sheet are clicked. first record, previous record, next
record, last record .This brings up or populates the previous record
from the RoomReservation Sheet to the Form Sheet for viewing

 4) When I click on the the first record button it goes beyond row7 to
row 1, showing blanks cells on the Form Sheet and not row 7. *What I
want is, when I click on the first record button, record on row 7 to
show on the Form Sheet instead of going to row 1 and showing blank cells.
 *

 5) When I click on the the previous record button it goes beyond row
7, row 6, row 5 etc, etc, to row 1. *What I want is, when I click on the
previous record button, view records untill row 7 and not row 6 etc, etc
 to row 1.*

 6) To get to the field of it try clicking these buttons to see how it
 works currently.

Please refeer to the attached file.

I hope I have explained myself clearly and thanks you once again in
advance for any help that I may recieve.

 Help Please

Can you experts help me with my problem?

 What I want is:

When the previous button is clicked, I want only records up untill row
7 to show on the Form Sheet as per the attached Room Reservation Sheet.

And the same should be applied to the go to last record button. That
is I want row 7 to be the last row and not going back beyond row 7 to row 1.

How can that be done as per the attached file?

The that I currently have is included in file.

 Additional Explaination:

When I clcik the and buttons, column headers and blank rows above
row 7 are also populated on to the Form. How can this be avoided?

I hope I have explained myself clearly.

Thank you all you experts in advance for any help that may be provided.
