$$Excel-Macros$$ Merge 2 sets of data

2012-05-22 Thread net user1110
Please find the file

Hi all,

I have a task that I can achieve up to one point using vlookup but
afterwards I need to manually add rows or columns to update the data with a
new set of data. It is understood the from the first set nothing should be
deleted. Even if one row is empty from the first set is not present in the
second set of data, it should remain as an empty data row (but still with
its identifier).

For example:

1st set

col1 col2 col5 col6

A
B
C
F

2nd set

col1 col2 col6 col7

A
B
D
F
E

should result in

col1 col2 col5 col6 col7

A
B
C
D
E
F

In the result, C is an empty row as it's not in the second set but must
still be present with the letter C but without any data
Col5 will be empty as well as it's only present in the first set.

Please find a workbook with the first set of data in one sheet, the second
set in another and the expected result from it.

Thanks

Johann

Hello experts,

I am trying to compile the data of various parameters as on every friday.
Various parameters will be in rows one below the other and date in column.
What i need now is, when ever i change the date (i want the drop down menu
for selecting dates, please note date keeps getting added week after week)
all the respective details in rows should change by itself, so that the
performance between any two days can be analysed easily. is there any
formula or technique for this simple work.

example

date 1,2,3

here drop down menu should come, (various dates)

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Automatic token numbers

2012-05-22 Thread Haseeb A
Hello Deba,

FYI:

If you use "LD000" as constant this will add with each number, means when
gets 10-99, this will become, LD00010, when gets 100-999 will become
LD000100.

If you want to keep the format, "LD", 1-9 - LD0001, 10-99 - LD0010,
100-999 - LD0100, 1000- - LD1000, here is one way.

A3, then copy down.

=IF(B3<>"",TEXT(COUNTA(B$3:B3),"\L\D"),"")

Hope this helps,
Haseeb

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ How to distribute one value into different cells proportionately based on some conditions

2012-05-22 Thread Haseeb A
Hello Amit,

Keep PO Bill & Party Bill on different tab, so can easily update it. See
the attached.

Addition: If you use Table format, formula will automatically insert, when
you enter a new data. Or use dynamic range to limit calculation range. If
you wish, you can also create a validation list of Party Bill's then apply
those in PO Bills column, this way can avoid unnecessary bill numbers.

Hope this helps,
Haseeb

2012-05-22 Thread Shah
I have attached a sample file to show what i mean. I have managed to copy
the grouped objects from a single slide.

However the complication arrises when I have to copy and collate the
objects when they are on different slides.
i.e. if i want to copy object 1 and 2 from slide 1 and 9 and 10 from slide
2 and paste them onto a new slide in a new presentation.

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ How to distribute one value into different cells proportionately based on some conditions

2012-05-22 Thread Amit Gandhi
Thanks Mr. Anil

You have almost solved my query. But I need it more dynamic. You have made
this formula cell specific and I need the formula which I can copy & paste
across all rows and it will give me result in one instant. Say for example,
if I will add same B/L no again at row 21, i won't get the result. Even if
I will copy the formula of cell J12 to cell J13, it won't work.

Hope you understand my requirement.

I will wait for your expert advise.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Amit
