$$Excel-Macros$$ payback Period Formula / Macro

2012-08-09 Thread sharad jain
Hi,

I need a formula or macro for calculating payback period which is dynamic.
I mean that it can calculate the payback period for series of data without
changing the formula itself again again.

I am attaching an example sheet with 3 scenarios where we can have same
formula / macro.

Will appreciate any type of help here.

Thanks,
Sharad

Dear Rajan,

We can use it..

Function NTest(rng As String)

Dim ch As String

Dim i As Integer

Dim j As Integer

With Application.WorksheetFunction

rng = .Trim(.Substitute(rng, "|", ""))

For j = 1 To Len(rng)

If VBA.Mid(rng, 1, 1) <> vbNullString Then

ch = VBA.Mid(rng, 1, 1)

rng = .Trim(.Substitute(rng, ch, ""))

NTest = .Trim(NTest & ch & "|")

Else

Exit For

End If

Next j

End With

NTest = Left(NTest, Len(NTest) - 1)

Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ last date in the series does not appear on the chart

Hi Experts,

I have a time series line chart with dates on the x-axis. The dates run in
ascending order , left to right. The last date in the series does not appear on
the chart.

After numerous attempts with different scenarios using the various functions
under the "Scale" tab in the "Formatting Axis" dialoge box, I have been unable
to
display the last value in this series on the chart.

Is there a method for doing this? Thank you in advance for taking time to
respond.
