RE: $$Excel-Macros$$ Exporting emails in excel

2012-08-28 Thread Amit Desai (MERU)
My dear friend I tried that...

Simple copy & paste is not giving me all the fields. For today's data it is
just giving me timing, for yesterday's data (till week end) it gives day & time
& for previous week's data, it gives day & date.

Best Regards,
Amit

Hi All

I have a tracker with almost 10 condition to be tasted. All condition is shown
as header, for case 1 when first event is completed then date of completion is
put under 1st header and under status for case 1 value to be reflected is
description of header 1.

When second event is completed then under header 2 date of completion is
mention and status is replaced with description of header 2 and so on.

So in column A all event name is mentioned, col B is status col. And from
column C to column L header 1 to 10 is mentioned.

Eg. Value of cell A2 is Case North Port and now description of column C to Z
header is START, EMAIL SENT, REPLY recd and so on.

So when case is logged in date is mention under START header i.e. In cell. C2
we put date of email sent. So status in Cell B2 will show as START.

Now when email is sent cell D2 will be updated with date of email sent and Cell
B2 should show status as Email Sent.

I tried applyin if condition since we are using excell 2003 not more than 7
nesting of if is used.

Any alternate way out for the same.

$$Excel-Macros$$ Need Help with a MAX NETWORKDAYS Formula

2012-08-28 Thread LJ
Greetings!

I have been using the formula below to calculate the time between a start
and end date and time during the work hours of 6AM and 7PM. The format for
the results are hh:mm:ss.

=MAX(0,TIME(19,0,0)-MAX(MOD(*O2*,1),TIME(6,0,0)))+
MAX(0,(NETWORKDAYS(INT(*O2*)+1,INT(*N2*)-1)))*13/24+
MAX(0,MIN(MOD(*N2*,1),TIME(19,0,0))-TIME(6,0,0))

N2 = End Time
O2 = Start Time

I have been using the NETWORKDAYS to factor-out all other times of the day
and the weekends. However, there are instances where work is completed
between 7PM and 6AM, and the results of the work completed after hours are
either 13:00:00 or 26:00:00. I need a result of 00:00:00 to appear in
these instances.

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Formula to Separate Company name and Email Address

2012-08-28 Thread David Grugeon
Hi Noorain

It seems easy enough to create a UDF which finds the @ and then steps back
until it finds a space. This will define the point to split the string.
No time to do it at the moment.

$$Excel-Macros$$ time hours formula help

2012-08-28 Thread padsin bawa
Hi,

I have a workbook that requires a specific time formula that can show
negative time offset as well as positive.

I first would like negative offset to appear as negative offset (see yellow
highlight)

Then I would like if the formula can do this, to have other time show with
+ for positive time difference.

Please look expected results column on worksheet
Thanks
Pad

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ combining data in one worksheet from other worksheets

2012-08-28 Thread NOORAIN ANSARI
Dear Kuldeep,

We can also use below alternative solution in pivot table..

Manually Create a Union Query

If you can't combine your data on a single worksheet, another solution is
to create named ranges in an Excel file, and use MS Query to combine the
data. There are sample files here:
http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html#PT0007

Then, use the Union query result as the pivot table's source data.

With this solution, you’ll end up with a normal pivot table, with none of
the limitations. However, it’s a bit tedious to set up, especially if you
have more than a couple of tables.
Use a Macro to Create a Union Query

Instead of manually setting up a union query, you can use the code in a
sample file from Excel MVPs, Kirill
Lapin(KL), with
amendments by Héctor
Miguel Orozco Diaz .

Before you use the sample code, replace the sample sheet names with the
sheet names in your workbook.

For example, if your sheet names are "East" and "West", change this line of
code:

arrSheets = Array ("Ontario", "Alberta")

to this

arrSheets = Array ("East", "West")

In the code, you can also change the location where the pivot table will be
added. In the sample file, the TableDestination is set for the active
sheet, in range A1.

Then, after you make those small changes, click the button on the
worksheet, and a summary pivot table is automatically created.

To download the sample file from Kirill and Héctor, click here: Pivot Table
>From Multiple Sheets
.
