Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Move Sheets by Worksheet Index

2015-02-05 Thread Paul Schreiner
The problem is that the first time a duplicate is encountered, instead of
ADDING it to an existing workbook, you're trying to create a new one.

Instead, I'd wait until they're all done before closing the workbooks.
Then, within the code, only create a workbook if it isn't already open.

I'd modify the code to look like:

Option Explicit
Sub movesheets()
Dim Mainrng As Range
Dim LR As Double
Dim i As Integer
Dim Oldwkb As Workbook
Dim Newwkb As Workbook
Dim srt As String

Set Oldwkb = ActiveWorkbook

LR = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Row

'Set Mainrng = Range("a1").Offset(0, 1).Resize(LR, 1)

Application.DisplayAlerts = False
i = 2
  On Error Resume Next
Do Until Cells(i, "B") = ""

srt = Cells(i, "C").Value
Err.Clear
Workbooks(srt & ".xlsx").Activate
If (Err.Number <> 0) Then
Set Newwkb = Workbooks.Add
Else
Set Newwkb = ActiveWorkbook
End If
Oldwkb.Activate
Worksheets(Cells(i, "A").Value).Copy Before:=Newwkb.Worksheets(1)
If (Newwkb.Name <> srt & ".xlsx") Then
Newwkb.SaveAs Oldwkb.Path & "\" & srt & ".xlsx"
Else
Newwkb.Save
End If
'Newwkb.Close True
Oldwkb.Activate
If (Cells(i, "B").Value = "Move") Then Sheets(Cells(i,
"A").Value).Delete
i = i + 1
Loop

For i = 2 To 100
If (Cells(i, "B").Value = "") Then Exit For
Workbooks(Cells(i, "C").Value & ".xlsx").Close savechanges:=True
Next i
Application.DisplayAlerts = True
End Sub

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Date not Correct, List of Tabs, Hide Exit X

2015-02-05 Thread Vaibhav Joshi
Hi

Use following code for creating Index:

Worksheet Index

First add a new sheet to the Workbook and call it "Index" (optional).
Next right click on the sheet name tab of the "Index" sheet and select
"View Code". In here you should paste the code as shown below

Private Sub Worksheet_Activate()
Dim wSheet As Worksheet
Dim l As Long

l = 1

With Me
.Columns(1).ClearContents
.Cells(1, 1) = "INDEX"
.Cells(1, 1).Name = "Index"
End With

For Each wSheet In Worksheets
If wSheet.Name <> Me.Name Then
l = l + 1
With wSheet
.Range("A1").Name = "Start_" & wSheet.Index
.Hyperlinks.Add Anchor:=.Range("A1"), Address:="", _
SubAddress:="Index", TextToDisplay:="Back to Index"
End With

Me.Hyperlinks.Add Anchor:=Me.Cells(l, 1), Address:="", _
SubAddress:="Start_" & wSheet.Index, TextToDisplay:=wSheet.Name
End If
Next wSheet

End Sub

Cheers!!

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Unable to run macro in attached excel file

2015-02-05 Thread Paul Schreiner
I opened the file and it opened as I would expect.

Your error message implies that your computer "profile" is set to NOT allow
something here to happen.

Can you run macros in ANY workbook using this computer?
Can you open the VB Editor and look at the macros in this workbook?
Can you step through the Workbook_Open event macro in the ThisWorkbook module?

$$Excel-Macros$$ Macro Required

2015-02-05 Thread Kanwaljit Singh Dhunna
Hi Experts,

I have attached a sheet.
I wish there could be a macro which when run
--assess the website given in column A1,
--copy the value given in cell A4 in the input box
--wait for me to enter the Captcha MANUALLY (as I have learnt that it is
quite a tedious process via code)
--copy the resulting values and paste them into the required columns in the
sheet (if the input value is invalid then only Mark INVALIDPAN in column B)
--copy and value given in Next Cell i.e., A5 and so on till the List is
exhausted.

Hope I am clear !

Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Error on saving the DBF file in Excel 2007

2015-02-05 Thread Pravin Gunjal
Hi

I tried this one and un-ticked MISSING from libraries and tried to Save As
the file with existing.
Then it says: The file is already exists. Do you want to replace with
existing file?
When I click on Yes it again says: Unable to remove existing file..

Kindly look in to this please.

Thanks,
