Take a look at this solution. I use a Change Event in which I check for change
to cell C2.(so you should be sure to enter the task BEFORE the priority)
I also "assumed" that it would NOT increment tasks that where there was a blank
task.
That is: with priority 1,3,4,7 if I entered a priority "3":the existing 3 would
become 4the existing 4 would become 5but 7 would not change, resulting in
priorities:1,3,4,5,7
I then moved the new entry to the bottom and sorted.
also, I made the dates for the records actual "dates", but displayed as
mmdd. That way, in the future if you wanted to do some date arithmetic, you
can.Or, you can change the way the date is
displayed:mm.dd.mm/dd/dd-mmm-
let me know if you have any
questions.Paul-

Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ AUTOMATED "PRIORTITY LIST"
Hi,
Please see attached. I am not good at coding. Hopefully, one of you can easily
do this. I believe that it is relatively easy.
I looked at many other templates out there. Unfortunately, I found nothing that
suites my needs as much as I envision this.
PSA.
1. Row 2 is where you would enter you new priority take. 2. You would assign a
number to it.3. Press enter after you assign the priority - and it
automatically sorts itself with the rest of the list. From lowest to highest.
4 If a new task is entered with an existing priority of another task (say 1 for
example) - the new task will become 1, the old 1 will become 2 and so
forth.5.Must have the ability to re-prioritize existing prioritize and have it
again resort itself.
Looking forward to some creative responses.
Many thanks.
