If you don't want a macro and you don't want to open suggest a LOT of linking formulas. You could then use edit>replace to change the name of the source workbook (if needed) Don Guillett Microsoft MVP Excel SalesAid Software dguille...@gmail.com -Original Message- From: anil kumar Sent: Monday, April 30, 2012 6:58 AM To: excel-macros@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Hi friends, I want to know Hello sir, How r u, there is no need of sample sheet, simply u have 4-5 workbook of any data. and now u have to copy all data from 4-5 workbook. than we have to open 1 by 1 workbook and copy in 1 sheet. now i want to know that can i open 1 sheet from that 4-5 workbook copy all data in 1 sheet. RE: $$Excel-Macros$$ Re: Hi friends, I want to know
If you don't want to open the other workbook and you don't want to usa VBA, I don't know how to COPY a worksheet from one workbook to another, but you can link to desired values. For example, in cell A1 of your destination sheet/workbook, type: =[OtherWorkbookName.XLS]Sheet1!A1 To rerieve the value from cell A1 on the worksheet "Sheet1" in the file "OtherworkbookName.XLS". If all you want is a copy, I don't understand why you don't want to open the other workbook though. OH, You can also use the QueryTable feature to link to a whole table of data (by default uses ODBC that someone else mentioned, in the background, but not VBA). Dear Anil, Yes it is possible by using odbc connection with the workbook and query to copy the data from source to destination where source is your 5 workbook and the destination is your sheet where you want to paste the data.
