@Prince, I am not talking about the ways or methods of getting the result, which I never did, since that is the speciality of excel we can get the same result in many ways. But the previous post is not related to the method or ways of pulling the data, It's about the *errors and wrong usage***of functions. Whenever I see any formula with error I just point out, so that you will be aware of the drawbacks which will help you when building formula's in future. @Prince, Why not just added another m in your text function *TEXT(C16:C35,mmm)*which will avoid unnecessary MID Function. One more thing I don't think you need any case sensitivity function here (Proper in your formula). (TEXT(C16:C35,mmm)=MID(PROPER(B2),1,3))*1) TEXT(C16:C35,mmm) = This one is text output MID(PROPER(B2),1,3))*1 = What is the purpose of *1 in this??? Does it make any sense?
