Re: $$Excel-Macros$$ Run time error '1004' Method "Range " of oblect '_Globle fails
I'm not sure what the purpose of your macro is. It LOOKS like ComboBox1 has: "CAP, CREAM, DROP". You're trying to select from one of these values in the combobox and load another list (pre_Med_Name_1) But there's a couple of things wrong with this approach. First, the Range() object only has a .Value if the range is a single cell. Otherwise, it's an array of values in .Value2 Like: for inx = 1 to ubound(Range("CAP").Value2) debug.print Range("CAP").Value2(inx,1) next inx Next, from your samples, CAP, CREAM and DROP are single-dimension arrays. >From the "help" for .List, .List can be used to load a combobox or listbox if loading multi-dimensional arrays: Paul - “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” - John Wesley - > > From: Rupesh Patil >To: excel-macros@googlegroups.com >Sent: Thursday, January 2, 2014 3:07 AM >Subject: $$Excel-Macros$$ Run time error '1004' Method "Range " of oblect >'_Globle fails > >Hi expert > > >Please look below code and tell me why I am getting this error(Mentions in >subject line) > Private Sub ComboBox1_Click() > Select Case ComboBox1 > Case "CAP" > pre_Med_Name_1.List = Range("CAP").Value > > > Case "CREAM" > pre_Med_Name_1.List = Range("CREAM").Value > > > Case "DROP" > pre_Med_Name_1.List = Range("DROP").Value > > > End Select > > With pre_Med_Name_1 > .SetFocus > Application.SendKeys ("%{DOWN}") > End With >End Sub > > >Private Sub UserForm_Initialize() > Dim sht1 As Worksheet > Set sht1 = ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Res_Do_not_Change") > > ComboBox1.List = Application.Transpose(sht1.Range("A1") _ > .CurrentRegion.Rows(1).Value) > > >End Sub > > > > > > >My Excel File structure is > > > A B C > >1 CAP CREAM DROP >2 Ibubid TR Ciplox Crocin >3 Inflapen CR Acivir Crocin Paed >4 Artincerin Okavir Pacimol >5 Diasol Cyclovir Oxalgin > > >Please help me on this.
