$$Excel-Macros$$ UserForm control property reference

2014-02-14 Thread learner

Hi!

Normally for a UserForm to assign new property to a control a variable is
used by me like following sample code:

Dim inttxtbxTp As Integer
inttxtbxTp =
Workbooks(..xlsm).Worksheets().Range(...).Value
Me.TextBox1.Top = inttxtbxTp

This works fine.

However, now I need to pass even the property name by variable

Dim strtxtbPpt As String
strtxtbPpt =
Workbooks(..xlsm).Worksheets().Range(...).Value..which

is..Top
Me.TextBox1.Properties(strtxtbPpt) = inttxtbxTp

This code does not work.

What I need is a correct statement to pass property name by variable.

Please help ASAP, regards,

Learner

$$Excel-Macros$$ Userform If-Else Error in German Excel sheet

2013-10-31 Thread mayur patil
Hello all,

In *German excel worksheet* I created an userform which has following code

'''
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()

TextBox6.Value = (TextBox2.Value * TextBox3.Value * TextBox4.Value) /
(TextBox5.Value)

If TextBox1.Value = TextBox6.Value Then
MsgBox Ned = Nrd vbNewLine Erfüllt
Else
MsgBox Ned Nrd vbNewLine Nicht erfüllt
End If
End Sub
'''
My Problem explained by an example:

Initially I enter values for TextBox2.Value , TextBox3.Value ,
TextBox4.Value  and TextBox5.Value

The calculated value of TextBox6.Value (Nrd) I get is 150

If I give TextBox1.Value = 10 or 100 then message ''Ned=Nrd Erfüllt'' is
seen, which is fine but if TextBox1.Value = 1000 still it shows same
message instead of ''Ned Nrd Nicht erfüllt''.

What could be the reason for it? If anyone could help , I would be grateful.

Thanks.

$$Excel-Macros$$ UserForm

2010-09-22 Thread mikeb
I would appreciate some help/guidance for doing the following. I
would like to create a userform, ( which is triggered by an action
taken in a cell on another sheet called test1 in the workbook), with
five variables each with it’s own checkbox; the checkbox information
will be a 1 or 0 and will be placed / saved / copied into separate
columns “M through Q” , with the new data being added to row below
each time the userform is triggered the information is placed on a
different sheet test2 cloumns “M through Q”in the same workbook. I
would like the userform to have an OK button on it so once the user is
finished choosing variable 1 thru 5 or all five,and licks on the OK
button the userform  will close.

In addition to capturing the userform information information I would
like to then copy three other cells on the same row in sheet test1 to
be copied to the same row and dedicated columns in sheet test2, that
we are placing the userform information.

Thank you,

MikeB

$$Excel-Macros$$ Userform locks Excel

2010-07-28 Thread b
I have an Excel workbook w/ a VBA menu to pops up a userform to write
values back to a worksheet in the workbook. Sometimes, the userform
locks Excel and it has to be abended. I suspect its due to users have
other workbooks open and copying and pasting between them. Can I
specify a specific instance in the VBA code for the userform? Is the
userform independent of the workbook and could write back to whatever
instance is active? Can I specify a window handle?

$$Excel-Macros$$ Userform - user prompted for path of image which will be displayed in the workbook along with the other data.

2009-11-08 Thread ellie

or user prompted for whatever gets the job done...I am just assuming
that would be the way to get it done.

I have created my first userform to input data into my worksheet. I
have 8 fields which populate my worksheet. On my userform I have an
'Add Data' button which works like a charm via a tutorial from
contextures.com

On each row on my worksheet I would like there to be a product image
in the last field. The images are stored in various folders on our
network drive. How do I add an input field on my userform that will
allow the user to point to an image file and in essence be my 9th
field on my worksheet? I have tried creating a button using the
getopenfilename along with other commands for this button but nothing
I have tried comes close to achieving my goal. I am not sure of what
the code should be for that command button anyway...guess that's a big
part of my problem here. Maybe I shouldn't be using a command
button...maybe this cannot be achieved with a userform?

Can anyone explain to me how I can accomplish this. So, my goal is for
the user to select a photo as one of the fields that will populate my
spreadsheet. Also, if this can be achieved can I set an image size for
this item. Needs to be a little bigger than a thumbnail.

I have spent hours looking for the answer to this question. I hope
someone has mercy on me.

ALSO
how do I have the rows to a predetermined width and height? I see how
I can set this one by one, but I want the excel spreadsheet to already
have the proper cell sizing before any data is entered. The sizing is
going to revolve around this image that I am trying to get in there.

$$Excel-Macros$$ UserForm objects/controls collections?

2009-04-02 Thread Yu

Hi Dear all,

I have this puzzle for a long time. I often program UserForm and
always format controls like this :

  .TextBox1.Height = 18
  .TextBox1.Width = 100
  .TextBox2.Height = 18
  .TextBox2.Width = 100
  .TextBox3.Height = 18
  .TextBox3.Width = 100
  .TextBox4.Height = 18
  .TextBox4.Width = 100
  .TextBox5.Height = 18
  .TextBox5.Width = 100

I am thinking is there a collection like TextBoxes ,then you can
refer to each textbox as TextBox(i) then just do
  loop like this:

For Each tb in TextBoxes
  tb.height=18
 tb.width=100
   next tb

  Any ideas or any other way around that?

Vincent
