Hi Vibhav, The password "password" is not working. When I enter it first time, I get a window asking for write password. Whether you enter "password" or click read only the file automatically closes. I have set macro security to "enable all macros" mode. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here. If not can you just post the code in the a text file. Thanks in advance. Hi Paul I have read the solution you have provided but when I go to the C:\Users\[username]\AppData\ Local\Temp\Excel8.0 folder there is no file called MSForms.exd. I tried searching my computer for *.exd files and there is none present. I also tried to install one of the updates from Microsoft site but the problem still persists. The Appdata folder in itself is hidden. So you can see that i have already unhidden the files from the folder options view tab. Any ways thanks for the reply. Hi I had made this UDF based on the needs of a question asked in this forum. However when i change anything in VBA code (as minute as adding comments or add a point to debug etc. ) the calculated value becomes zero on the worksheet. Also the function does not update automatically when input data is changed. The function value becomes zero when i change the input to function. So here's my understanding "If user makes any changes in the file he/she has to click the Send mail button before closing the file and you have code for sending the mail " A simple way is to use activex control button instead of the shape you have used. I have included both shape based & activex based code in the file. choose what you want.
