adding them one by one will be a never ending battle.
you are better off going with a third party solution.

RE: Small warning: Antigen 7.5

2003-05-28 Thread Neil Hobson

Indeed. The technical explanation I'd seen was that code that modifies the contents
of messages in transport, as in the case of a disclaimer, can corrupt the STM if the
mail is submitted on the server using DAV, and not, say, other methods such as MAPI,
SMTP, and X.400.

As was pointed out this is not strictly a Sybari issue. I received an notification
from Sybari that included the following information.

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article number 814891 describes an error (Error
-613) that can occur when performing an online backup of Exchange 2000.
Microsoft has identified a situation that causes this problem to occur.

Sybari has received a few reports from some of its customers that online backups of
Exchange 2000 are reporting this error after they have enabled Antigen's disclaimer
feature. Antigen utilizes Microsoft APIs when updating an email message with
disclaimer text.

As a result of working with those customers that reported the error as well as with
Microsoft, those customers have now received a fix from Microsoft Product Support
Services and are now beginning testing of the fix.

We are making you aware of this potential issue so that you can contact Microsoft
Product Support Services if after reading the QFE you believe that you should also
deploy Microsoft's fix.

My customer was advised by Sybari to run 7.5 because 7.0 caused high
INETINFO CPU usage, and the SMTP queues to block.

Thanks, Neil.

Sybari have already come back to me with a solution for the affected server,
and its running OK again, but with Antigen 7.0. They're trying to recreate
the problem in their lab so they can make a more permanent solution, but
haven't managed yet.

It's simply a multi-valued attribute in AD; it's fairly easy to write
code to import/export this - check out the link below as an example.

I am having a lot of spamming issues and nobody is interested in
purchasing a spam helping product.
Wanted to know if anyone knows how to mass load a list of known spammers
and/or spamming domains to the filtering tab of the exchange system
manager - Message Delivery Properties?
When I do add some sites it seems to work great but I have compiled a
large list now (also with some help from a new found friend) and hope I
do not have to copy and paste each in one at a time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Filtering

2003-05-28 Thread Couch, Nate
I don't know of a way to mass import these domains. I ended up entering
them in one at a time. Bummer I know, but I did manage to cut my workload a
bit, by filtering based on country codes and extensions such as blocking all
.biz, .info, etc. The country code blocks work great as long as you are
sure your company doesn't have any customers in those countries. I
typically block .cn, .hu., ru, etc.

I hope this helps somewhat.

Cheers.

RE: Filtering

2003-05-28 Thread Paul Hutchings
I think that's the only way of doing it, unless it's buried in the registry
somewhere.

If you can run to a small amount of money look at Xwall from
www.dataenter.at, or if you've the time/vocation to do so look at linux with
spamassassin - free and works damn well IME.

That it is perhaps an SMTP address/upn/proxyAddress related issue. Not much
else changes during the mailbox creation process that would be relevant.

Does that mean anything to you?

Hi andy
Well I got a bit further now with rtc! I think it was a messenger client on
the rtc server that messed it up.
The only problem now is that administrator is the only one who can log on to
the service even if others are enabled.

The problem I was having with RTC was that when I logged on to the server to
manage RTC (or anyone else was logged on) the IM client would start up.
So
when I would try to start the RTC services, they would fail. If I exited
completely the IM client or managed the server services from another system
via MMC, then it would start up fine. Then when logging on to the server,
the IM client will pick a different port to use. IMHO it's a bug in the
software that the client and server try to listen on the same port.

Hi Andy
Thank you for your reply.
1. ok
2. I have a feeling there might be something there. If I change the
listening port from the default 5060 to fx 8000 it starts up - the client
cant connect though. What client software are you referring to?
3. I am using 2003 but i'm not sure I have the post sp1 hotfix .. I'll check
that.

1. Don't know about that one.
2. This is usually because the services really are unavailable. What I
found was that the services were not able to start listening on the ports
because the client software was running on the server and blocking the
startup. One other reason is not running the correct client version against
the server (looks not to be the case for you). You might check with the
more official RTC support channels on this.
3. You do not need a Ti front-end/back-end setup to use RPC/HTTP. You must
be using Windows 2003, not Windows 2000. You also must have a post
SP1 hotfix for Windows XP.

Hello everyone,

I am currently working on getting a full blown titanium test/demo platform
up and running. I have a few questions which I hope someone can guide me to.
Versions of RTC server and Titanium are not technically well documentet yet
but I have been searching the net for weeks now and hasn't found any answers
or articles on this :

Okay, anyone?

- SMS triggered server active sync. It's enabled on the user but where
do I set up the number etc (Like fx airweb on MIS) ?

- RTC server refuses connections with the error message (on the client)
:
Service temporarely unavailable. It's the sameerror no matter
if I
