Possible MTA Issue???

2003-09-29 Thread Bennett, Josh
Hello again all,

In an Ex 2000 SP3 W2K SP4 environment, I am seeing event id: 967 from
MSExchangeTransport with the following message:

This master server received a one level (Connector) call back. However
no DS change has been detected and no major version increase will occur
as a result. This should not result in reset route or updated routing
packets being sent out to its slave servers and neighboring routing
groups.

Is this something I should be concerned with or is this just a routine
message in Exchange. We completed our migration from 5.5 about a month
ago, and I noticed this message popping up in the Application logs on my
bridgehead server rather frequently. The KB articles I dig up on it
don't explain much. I assume it is not a big issue but I just wanted to
bounce this off you all to ensure I am not looking at the beginning of a
major issue.

Thanks for all the help, past and present.

RE: Public Folder issue

But I have removed the check box in the Limits tab of the PF properties
to use PF Store defaults.

This should effectively remove any inherited size limits, right?

Folders under the default tree I beleive inherent not only permissions
but
also limits.

Hello all,

I am re-posting this (with my fingers crossed) in the hope that someone
out there can help me with this issue.

I am having an issue in Exchange 2k SP3. I have size restrictions in
place on the Public Folders at the store level. There is a sub-folder in
the default PF tree that has had the size restrictions removed, but
whenever the user tries to exceed 100MB (the restriction set at the
store level) he receives the following error:

Can't move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either already
moved or deleted, or access was denied.

If he reduces the size of the PF to under 100MB he can add to it. I have
removed the check box to Use Store defaults, in the Limits tab and have
left everything else blank. I assume that this means there is no size
restriction on this particular folder. Am I right???

Please help, thanks.

RE: SSL with a F5

2003-08-25 Thread Bennett, Josh
Yes, I have 2 backend mail servers and one front box dedicated to just
owa.

What I did was that the F5 was using round robin DNS to load balance OWA
to 2 Exchange 5.5 OWA servers. I replaced the 2 5.5 OWA servers with 1
E2K OWA server and just assigned the new server the 2 IP's of the old
5.5 servers.

Now I have the below mentioned issue and am not sure how to get around
it.

Do you have multiple Exchange 2000 servers? Did you install one of them
to be the front end server for the F5 to do the SSL proxy to? If not,
it might be the case where the server is located on a different E2K
server, and hence it used the standard http://

 Hello all,

I am in need of a little assistance. We have just
 finished an Exchange
2000 migration and I am having a small issue with
 OWA. I have a
dedicated front-end server for OWA that sits behind
 a F5 box. The SSL
certificate is installed on the F5 and it handles
 all the SSL
encryption. Users login using this URL:
https://owa.com/exchange/%username% and are then prompted to logon
(this part is fine). The issue I am having is that once
 they enter the correct
credentials they are then redirected to their
 mailbox but it is all
 unsecured (i.e. http://owa.com/exchange/%username%).

How do I configure the OWA server to not re-direct
 to an unsecured
 page???

 Help, please.
