Hello Exchange gurus, I have a problem I can't resolve. Situation: Migration phase from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000. Search Dialog 5. Mailbox Agent 6. Contact I don't have the option to modify the appearance of # 3 and 5, eg the button "Add", "Edit", and "Remove" are grayed out. This is the 3rd time I've seen this message posted, there were even 2 replies the first time. If you haven't gotten an answer you like by now, asking the same question over and over again to this group is probably sub-optimal. I'd recommend calling PSS and dropping $249 if it's that important to you. I tried this on the exchange 2000 list and got very little information. I have a setup as follows: Pix Firewall-->Proxy serv/IIS server-->internal network containing exchange. We have had exchange 5.5 and OWA running in this config for some time. We have recently upgraded to Exchange2000 and are now having a problem connecting with owa 2000. When going to the owa site a login box comes up to log into exchange BUT it comes up three times then says access denied. I have the IIS/proxy web publishing set to redirect my MX record exchange server address to the server but can never log in. If anyone got ANY ideas I would greatly appreciate it. OWA Help
Hello, I am having a SH*& load of problems with E2K OWA. We were having problem with OWA displaying information after logging in to OWA. The form would display but no info and you could not change to the calendar or contacts. Installed SSL and the problem was fixed. Well for a few days anyways. All today OWA stopped working. I get prompted to accept the certificate and log with UN/PW/Domain. And then I get prompted for the UN/PW/Domain again and again and again. If I connect to the OWA via the internal IP address it works fine. If I use the Server Name or the FQDN it continually asks for the login credentials. So I looked at the Virtual Directories in IIS and see the ERROR Icon next to the following three VD: ExAdmin, Exchange and Public. I checked the properties of the VD and everything is pointing to were it should. Click cancel and the Property page closes and the error message goes away. Still not working. No one has made any changes to the box. It just Stopped working. I can't figure out why it would work by IP Add and not FQDN or via the Server Name. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please contact me off list and I will provide you with some more background and config. What can I do ? Thanks a lot for help. Re: Help
First, back-up. Why are you setting up an X.400 connector? Is this a connector to an X.400 system or to another Exchange site? If it is an Exchange site, why must you use an X.400 connector versus SMTP or a native site connector? > I'm running exchange 5.5. I need to setup an X400 connector. RE: Help
Well, I'll answer it for you. If you're using the X.400 connector to connect sites, then complete the "Connected Sites" tab. Leave all the other X.400 settings alone. If you're using it to connect to a public X.400 service, then, yes, you have to fill in the myriad settings, and you must get them right and there's little room for error. And here's a tip you didn't ask for. When specifying the other Exchange server to which you're connecting, use an IP address rather than hostname. Encryption Help
I hope someone can help me out here. I am trying to setup encryption between ourselves and our patent attorney. We us E2K and they are on Lotus (X-Mailer: Lotus Notes Release 5.0.10 March 22, 2002). I can send them encrypted mail, but when the send me encrypted mail it shows as a blank message. When it first arrives in Outlook I see no paperclip in the list view. If I then doubleclick to open and then close the paperclip appears. But there is no visible attachment. In the message header I see: --_-==11AA8DFD213==-_ Content-Type: application/x-pkcs7-mime; name=smime.p7m Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=smime.p7m If I open the message in my IMAP client (Mulberry) I see an attachment called smime.p7m but it appears to be blank. The legal firm runs their own cert. Server and I got a certificate for the IT guy and he also sent me his root cert. Which I also added to his contact. So I can send him encrypted messages. The certificates I got from the legal firm have a .p7c extension. So is this a problem here or a problem on their end? TIA. Please help!
I have a strange situation here that never occurred before and if I could use your help to handle it well. One of our unhappy ex-employees not only sent a nasty email to management but also blind carbon copy most of the employees in the company through local distribution list he created because everyone SMTP address is blocked. The reason I said most of the employees because he used the employee he had that time he left the company so not everyone got it. Now my issue is that the management wants me find out the names of the employees who got this email. One way to do this is to go through everyone's mailbox which is time consuming process. So, I would like to know if there is any other way for me to get this accomplished. I would greatly appreciate your help. Bandwidth Help
Group, I am having some problem with my Exchange server using way too much bandwidth. I have been using Exchange 5.5 sp4 with my Windows 2000 server, I just recently upgraded to Exchange server 2000. Now my other computers on the network cannot download anything. They can still surf the web but all download go so long and the stop. I have a 512 connection to the internet via cable. I have tried several routers with the same problems. The cable company told me that my connection was fine and they could not support me any further since I am using a router. I have set the exchange server to only relay from the five computers on my LAN and they user would have to be authenticated by there server before they could relay to the SMTP VS. Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason P.S. RE: Help!!!
Thank you all, I found that there had been a replication problem so I deleted it and recreeated it and all is well except: there are loads of duplicate messages, is there an easy way to get rid of them. I have seen this before when doing exporting of .pst and importing again. Hello again, Exchange 5.5/Outllook 98. How can a person turn on only Out of OFFICE Assistant for his mailbox only if they have several mailboxes in their folder list? This came up yesterday when a secretary to the Vice President of our company was out of the office. She had turned on Office Assistant for herself using the tools supplied. When people sent messages to our VP they received her out of office message. I did a F! in X admin but didn't find anything useful. Thanks for your barbs as well as your most appreciated help. Upgrade to version 6.0 IOS. Use the Static Port commands to redirect users to the internal OWA site instead of your Proxy Server first. This works even if your using a DMZ card. RE: Help please
1. Your MX record has no bearing on the issue - that's solely for mail routing. You need to worry about where your "A" record (or CNAME if that's how you're doing it) points. 2. I'm still kind of waiting for you to say that you've followed Q276388 to the letter. Whether OWA 5.5 works through proxy has nothing to do with whether OWA 2000 does; they are nowhere NEAR being the same product. > -Original Message- > From: Ronald Mazzotta [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Posted At: Monday, December 17, 2001 02:54 PM > Posted To: MSExchange Mailing List > Conversation: Help please > Subject: RE: Help please > > > Yeah sorry. RE: Help please
Yes that article has been followed to the letter. I apologize for the ms reference so could we get back to this. It is becoming increasingly frustrating. It SHOULD work. -Original Message- From: Tom Meunier [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, December 17, 2001 4:52 PM To: Exchange Discussions Subject: RE: Help please 1.
