RE: Blocking users from Internet mail

2003-01-27 Thread Ed Crowley
Give users who aren't to receive mail an unroutable e-mail address such
as [EMAIL PROTECTED] Be sure to add this address to the default
recipient policy so that they can use OWA.

If you follow the instructions in this article, then the users without
Internet email won't be able to use OWA. You'd have to create a new HTTP
virtual directory for them that handles the "fake" smtp address that you
use.

go about doing it?

I was thinking I could add a restriction to the IMC that specifies that
accounts that are not allowed to send mail through it, but that would
only take care of the sending restriction, right? I still need to
prevent them from receiving Internet mail.

RE: Blocking users from Internet mail

2003-01-27 Thread Couch, Nate
I believe the FAQ has this item within, but I would build a DG with the
users you want to restrict and add it to the Virtual Server as "Rejected".

That should do it.
